$11.99 Full set of Thermals on 1-day

90

Pretty stoked about this - heading to europe and this is definitely the cheapest place i've seen thermals.
They are polyester thermals and only white is available for the girls but at this price you can get two full sets of thermals for the same price as a top somewhere like Kathmandu.

This is what the website says:

Winter may be behind us (finally we here you cry) but there’s still some pretty chilly days ahead and snow on those mountains so whether you’re a lover of said snow or perhaps you get cold easily, thermals are always handy to be stashed away. This 100% polyester long sleeved set will keep you warm if you’re skiing down a mountain, ice climbing, tramping or just out in the cold for prolonged periods. Soft and comfortable you’ll be so toasty you’ll even forget you’re wearing them.

Choose from:

Mens:
Black, or
Navy, or
Womens:
Pink, or
White

  • are these normally polyester? isnt cotton better….polyester doesnt breathe so of course it keeps u warm since its insulated. but the fabric is cheap therefore the price?

The best are either polypropylene or merino wool.

      • Couldn't agree more; I went to Beijing in winter with polyester ones (not cheapies either - bloody liars at Kathmandu), utterly useless; it was like the icy wind was blowing right through me! :o

Different story altogether when my local friends grabbed me some wool ones! ;)

  • 100% polyester. :S

  • I have polyester thermals from ALDI, they are good and comfortable for everyday wear at home/outdoors. Haven't tried them in extreme cold though.

I don't think cotton is used for thermals. Merino wool is the best but the price tag shows it!

Only Large and X large :(

I guess thats why they're selling these after winter - alot of people have stacked on a few pounds
over the last couple of months
Not me though; my house is freakin' freezing, so I seem to have lost weight. Honestly I can't wait
for more people to get obese so there will finally be some medium sized clothing free.

cotton is bad for thermals cos lets all the warmth out. that's why u shouldn't wear cotton when at the snow

    • +2

Cotton will retain moisture when you sweat and the only thing worse than being cold is being wet and cold, the same reason you shouldn't breathe on your hands to warm them up.

      • Won't polyester trap the moisture on your skin then?

        • Cotton fibres are hydrophilic; synthetics are hydrophobic! ;)

  • can't imagine these would be very good… if you are after thermals your best bet is to keep an eye out for sales on wool undergarments.
