Some good deals but anyone notice Costco is getting expensive?

    • +3

I have, not much I care for there now.

I've notices that, but I've also noticed the same price rises at the other supermarkets too. Aldi is still the slowest to rise, but the cost of everything everywhere seems to be going up.

Costco never really cheap in general. Their price is about 40% off supermarket price for those supermarket would often have 50% off.
Clothes are good pricing but limited,
petrol price is the only reason I pay for their membership.

I bought a dishwasher there last Sunday, I saw the fridges and nearly had a heart attack, luckly its not on sale!

  • Why are these "Coupons" ? Its not like you need to show them and the price has already be changed in store for so it just a catalogue of specials right ?

    • +4

Correct, its more American to have "coupons" though. Generally these items are moved to more prominent positions and the sale is highlighted.

If you just see it as a sale price, thats more accurate to how it works, the price is already taken off on the price tag and at the register without asking.

  • Is Sealy Premier Plus is good price for $399 ? does anyone have any experience with it ? Cheers

    • I like to know as well.

Notice how for the really expensive stuff in the catalogue, they mention some dollars off savings, BUT doesn't actually tell you the cost?

That's got a rather unsavoury taste to it.

    • Nationwide coupons, and some states have different pricing. Adelaide quite often has store specific coupons if they are doing a certain drive for the month.

  • Does anyone know how much that Samsung 836L Fridge is at Costco prior to coupon use?

  • I went there last night for the lobster tails but all sold, ended up taste all the food demos.
