Co-Op Bookshop $5 Books (and Games) - Membership Required - $25

170

I've compiled a list of $5 books at Co-Op that may have flown under your radar (especially since some aren't listed on the $5 book bargain page). There are plenty more on the site.

A Co-Op membership is required to get the below discounts (which costs $25). These deals are not a pricing error - I can confirm I have had my order arrive without being cancelled. Shipping over $50 is free, $6.95 otherwise. No pickup option available.

Table organised as follows: [Author (alphabetical by Firstname), Title, Link]
I'll limit it to max of 3 books per author to stop the list being too long, George R.R Martin for example has about 7 books.

Author Title
Brandon Sanderson Words of Radience Part 1
Brandon Sanderson Legion
Brandon Sanderson Legion: Skin Deep
Clive Cussler Pirhana
David Lagercrantz The Girl in the Spider's Web
EL James 50 Shades of Grey
George RR Martin Game of Thrones Official Colouring Book
George RR Martin A Storm of Swords
George RR Martin Wild Cards
Hillary Mantell Bring Up the Bodies
Ian Ross Swords Around the Throne
James Phelan The Hunted
John Flanagan Grey Raider
John Flanagan Ranger's Apprentice Early Years Book 1
John Green The Fault in Our Stars
John Marsden South of Darkness
Kevin J Anderson Blood of the Cosmos
Kevin J Anderson The Dark Between Stars
Mark Lawrence The Liar's Key
Marv Wolfman Batman Arkham Knight (Official Novel)
Oliver Bowden Assassin's Creed Unity (tie in)
Pierce Brown Red Rising
Stephen King Finders Keepers
Stieg Larsson The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Finally, though these aren't books, there are also a few $5 games that are still on sale from the previous deals (that might help you reach the free shipping threshold)

Happy reading :)

you wont end up getting them.

I stated in description that I received them. These are set prices, not a price error.
proof of some I got here: http://imgur.com/Mzr57Sq

I cant control if you've had a bad experience with them before (sorry if you have) but its worked for me hence why I posted a deal. Your mileage may vary if the site gets 'Ozbargained' of course.

Can confirm, I bought many of the games a couple of days before OzB hit them. Managed to snag Thief, COD:AW, Dragon Age Inquisition for $5 each.

        • None for ps4 though?

  • +3

    Not this trap again.

    • No it's it's legit …..$5 for 50 shades of grey is about right.

      • they're paying you $5 right? Not worth it. How much is that per hour?

  • +1 for the effort. I bought wwe15 for xbox1 for $5 on the last coop deal, haven't played it yet :)

last 2 deals from these people … proceed with caution!

  • Really y are posts coming up from co-op, they should be banned from last post on s7 and tabs

    • +4

      Should've been listed in comps

    • Over the last 2 weeks I've saved over $1500 by buying items both in stores and online from these guys. Common sense applies; an item like an S7 or fitbit is always going to sell out in the first few minutes, and was probably gone even before it was posted on here. The biggest issue with Co-Op is their stock tracking system isn't updated in real time, and if you order at 1am but someone walks on campus and buys the last of that item when they open, you'll miss out.

      • +1

Common sense would be to update site frequently and show correct stock. If 10 people missed out due to stock its understandable, but there were far too many people who had there orders cancelled which is no excuse. And these aren't people who ordered at 1 am.

Common sense is a negative when it comes to co-op

        • As I said, their stock control system is an issue, and I'm not trying to defend them over the sheer quantity of cancelled orders.

I was pointing out that there's no reason to ban their posts when there really is THOUSANDS of dollars to be saved from all the other items they have on there.

          @phluffed:

I typically don't care how much I can save, if any company tends to try sly tricks, I tend to take my business where I'm treated properly. In saying that everyone's not like me, and I treat people or business's they way I would like to be treated.

          Just my 2c

WoW expansions don't come with any game time and those previous to the current one are "free" so nobody buy Warlords thinking that they want to try it out.

    • Yeah. Please don't buy WoD, it won't work and it won't matter. If you buy legion you get all previous expacs.

I was pretty stoked with my haul of 24 x $2 POP vinyls and assorted cheap stationery last week. My new favourite store.

    • +1

Then you're one of the lucky few.

      • They also offered me a refund on the membership when one of the POPs I ordered wasn't in stock. I have only positive things to say about them.

  • I know the Footscray Park Vic Uni campus has a moving sale, lots of cheap bits and pieces, though it's a few weeks old now probably not much worth getting anymore. They did have a bunch of novels though

  • you will get zero support from Co-op if anything goes wrong. Never dealing with them again.
I warn you all to stay away.

    • hey they told me not to marry that woman ….. now i'm divorced lost my house …… some things in life just seem so good you. cant say no. same with co-op ….. i'm hearing but not listening…..lol…… 50 shades of grey …..$5 …… must resist before all are sold.

  • While I know that the Co-Op had issues with low stock items getting hit (fitbit, S7, tab, etc), The last order I placed was for $200 worth of items that saved me $1000+ off RRP. I have also walked into one of the stores and picked up 30 pop! vinyl figures for $2 each as well as some books for $5 each. That trip saved me over $700 compared with buying them from any other store.
End of the day, items like an S7 for $300 will always fail based on their stock control system and the fact there would only have been a handful to begin with.

"End of the day, items like an S7 for $300 will always fail based on their stock control system and the fact there would only have been a handful to begin with"

This reason isn't good enough. They shouldn't advertise stock they don't have. They take peoples money, then manually process refunds over the next 10 business days. The Samsung sale debacle isn't a once off - just a month earlier they sold 600 fitbit bands when they actually had 75. During their last XB1/PS4 sale many of us got screwed again - I for one got a "new" GTA5 that looked like someone had roller-bladed all over the disc it was that badly scratched. Maybe there are some deals to be hand in-store but they can't be trusted for online sales.

    • +1

Out of curiousity how are you finding these discounted items? Do you just troll through the website every so often looking for things that you may need and if they're on sale scoop them up? Just genuinely curious.

      • I saw the Galaxy s7 deal on here, saw a lot of people had already had orders cancelled, but went to the website anyway under the theory "if one thing is one sale, maybe there is more.."
Found the front page advertising $2 pop vinyl figures and 80% off Doctor Who items, so investigated.
For the missus I picked up Doctor Who Season 7, 8, 9 DVD sets (RRP between $80-100 each) for $5 each. Picked up 2 different "Sonic Scewdriver Universal remotes (RRP $169) for between $25-35 each. Picked up the bluetooth Tardis & Dalek Sec speakers (RRP $150 each) for $34 each.
I got a load of books, pop vinyls, and assorted other items for between $2-10 each, each item saving between $20-80.
All that stuff has arrived, except 1 item which was apparently out of stock but I have already been credited the refund.

I then visited the store at my local Uni and picked up a fair few other items.

        • Ahh fair enough. Good for you, I need to scout around too. I wonder how people find stuff - these days by the time it comes on ozb the real good stuff is gone, so you need to find it first anyway.
