  • Ah I wish you posted this a day earlier. Just bought the Acer X34 :(

nvm this is such a great deal. bought one anyway

    • Thanks for your order! :)

    • Why even choose between the two monitors? They are in completely different leagues?

      • Just happened to have recently purchased both a GTX 1080 and a MBP. Couldn't decide what was important to me - trade offs always seemed to be G-Sync + higher refresh rate vs 4k with USB-C. There doesn't exist a monitor that has everything I wanted, but coming from a standard 27" 1440p screen, both would have been great upgrades. As if all my indecisions, bargains would have made the decision for me.

Suppose now my MBP gets its dedicated monitor.

  • Lenovo ThinkVision X1 Wide 27" 4K IPS Webcam Speaker Monitor (60E2GAR1AU)(pclan.com.au) $669.00 Shipped

can you do cheaper if I pick up?

    • Sorry we cannot do any cheaper on pick up on this special :(

  • Hi OP, plenty in stock for the monitor? Seriously considering this but am at work atm.

Folks, go for 27'' UHD or do you reckon 30in is the minimal size to make full use of the res?

    • Only 10 monitors on special and 7 left now :)

    • +1

Seems decent if you need high res, if gaming, 1440p at 144hz+ would be a better option IMO

      • Very decent specs for sure. I went to Harvey Normal the other day and saw the Apple 27" 5K display. Its beautiful, its just that for working all day long, IMO the text size are a bit 'squinty' at 27" and not ideal on the eyes.

A 30" seems to offer very sharp text (as befit a UHD) while still big enough to read.

I've had this monitor for a couple of months now, its pretty awesome, would buy again. Paid $412 shipped on a 1-off deal posted here.

One thing I would say… The plastic bezel is thin, but the actual pixels don't start until about 5mm in from the edge of the screen. So its not really that thin.

  • Regards the desktop, this may be a better deal for $100 more, but offer ends today.
