To help rid the world of the overused, unimaginative grey/black garbage that is normally chosen by default for 99.9% of electronics, I would choose the orange model in a heartbeat. Most adults perceive vivid colours as "toy-like" though. Through years of conditioning.
Similar to your thinking I skipped the black/grey.
Ended up with the blue as the orange/purple was a bit too loud.
Having said that, the blue doesn't pop in real life as much as it does in the photos….
Also, for some reason, I thought it would be bigger…. I think the images on screen are bigger than the real thing! That threw me off haha

I have both the x100 and x50. From audio prospective the x50 is much better for vocal. The x100 has much better instrumental sounds and bass.

Let's not go overboard here. For those who have never owned a cheap bluetooth speaker - the sound quality is not good. The positive, noise comes out of it and is suffice if you are sitting at a desk or doing a gym workout in your garage.
Just keep your expectations in check.
Agreed, they're nowhere near good enough for music for my taste. But I like to use these small BT speakers to listen to talking podcasts.

Very good price buy why is it so popular? It is a simple speaker, Kmart have a lot of different style with many functionalities for about $10 to $15! Also Officeworks have many speakers for around $18-20! Anything special about this one? Or just it is branded Logitech?
Well, it doesn't give the user the choice to have bluetooth permanently off (and never turned on automatically), that's for sure.
It sounds good for its size, but it is a lot larger than my Toshiba, so you'd expect better sound. Can't compare it to the Kmart cheapies since I have never tried them. These are simple devices, so in all honesty they shouldn't cost much more than this. I guess they are trying to clear out unsold stock since this has already been discounted to ~$20 for some time (before this cut).
The sound quality on the Logitechs is generally far better than generics.
Yes, I am happy with its sound, but all in all it is not very user friendly, not many functions, and very flimsy especially with that price tag, I have a full metal Soniq with better functions, more user friendly and the same sound quality.
What I love about the other one is not its functions but the easy transition between devices! No pairing mode, just turn it on, if it is not connected to the last device, you are ready to go. Anyone, family or friend can start playing.

Hopefully someone can comment on the quality? I got a cheap $20 or $30 airbeatz one from dick smith during the closing down sale that's worked fine for portable podcasts, music etc. It's 2 x 3w, whereas i notice these are only 3w? And 5 hours life? So seems they're abit less jazzed up (These logitechs)? But for the price I guess one can't complain. Be good to hear what people have found the quality to be like.
