        You need to be a member at the North Lakes store to receive it. Hence, it's targeted.

        As far as I can tell, any Costco member can purchase these…

        @Chazzozz: no, Costco membership isn't store specific.

        as for emails. Costco emails are sporatic at best. I get them sometimes, other times I don't. Mrs Supabrudda gets them at different times.

        Anyone confirm if its available at other stores?

        @supabrudda: This is only the second marketing email I've received from Costco. The Subject: of the email says "Exclusive to North Lakes Members Only!" so I assumed it was targeted to only members who'd signed up through the North Lakes store. I've only been a member for just over a month so I'm still kinda new to Costco and how they operate.

    They have their place. Remotes are a classic low energy usage. My air cond remotes batteries are 6yrs old. 68c (34c x 2) is cheaper then any rechargeables.
