https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B6BN1CU is your best bet for cheap 8tb reds. Cheapest price ever according to camelx3
Do WD make a 8TB blue drive?
According to the page linked they do, But they don't sell it as there isn't enough sales to justifiy, which is why datahoarder call it "white label"
bought one. thanks OP
What's the shipping like with these? Are they packed pretty well to take on the finesse of Australia Post?
The packing was horrendous. It was inside a huge box and it slided left and right with just small movements of the parcel - they must have run out of airwrap just as they packed mine - one tiny piece inside that did nothing, leaving the rest as empty space.
for the not so geeky, the difference between a red and blue internals (I guess)?
Blue is the base model.
Red is supposed to be more durable, for servers that are always on.
Edit: Question deleted.
Was asking if it would have come with AUS plug. Noticed answer by someone in the other thread. Apparently not.Expired. It's now US$199.99 + delivery.
Anyone know which drives are in these?
