    Dear fellow OZBargainers, how does the SunRice Basmati (from Pakistan) compare with the basmati rice from India (e.g. India Gate)?
    Know it may not be as good but is it decent/satisfactory?

    Haven't tasted either varieties but would like to :)

      have you tried any rice you don't like.
      if not then it is likely to be satisfactory.

      Indian basmati has a nicer/stronger aroma IMO.

        Sunrice basmati rice is better than the other cheapies, but, from what I've read, Indiagate is much better.

        The best basmati rice is much better than all of the $9/Kg (on special) basmati rice.

      What they mean is that they won't heavily discount so many brands going forward and not cycling brands 50% off then full price then 50% off again over a 3 week period etc.

        Not that it matters, because they seem to run out of stock often and getting rain checks is almost impossible.

    i can't seem to find this in the catalog - only the 4pack for $4.

    works out to be the same price of course, but the saving doesn't come to better than half price when they have the 4 pack listed as usually $6.
