Hey All,

This weekend there's 10% off (5% normal staff discount + 5% additional) for all Woolworths employees.

Just wanted to put it out there in case you guys don't bother reading your bulletin boards in store.

There's also 10% at Big W online and for the whole week there 10% off at Big W Vision.

Picked up VS Sassoon i-trim stubble trimmer for 75 bux. Was 88 in the catalogue, for some reason scanned at 83 (no complaints!) and then with the 10% came to $75

        They're pretty slow to cancel the card, when I went from part-time to casual it took them a couple of months to cancel my second card.

      I wouldn't say that it's a waste of space as some people here may have family or friends who can access the discount for them and the 10% off on some of the items, especially the ones already on special is a good discount.

      I agree that it's not one for the masses of people out there, but it is of help to some and that's something. :-)

      There's something like 200,000-300,000 Woolworths employees in Australia so I'm sure plenty of people would find this a deal.

    Why must this be posted since not everyone can freely be a woolworths staff? On top of that, surely staff members would already be made aware of this offer via their own company newsletter..etc

        There are about 200000 staff across Australia. Many of their family members who don't work at Woolworths also get a card.
        I think this is no different than saying that a deal only applies to Melbourne and the deal clearly says staff.

      So does it mean that every man and his dog can post staff-only discounts of their company? eg. samsung, hp, ibm, lenovo, coles, myers? where do we stop then?

      if this post is valid, then we shouldn't discriminate when someone creates an ABN, and post ABC Pty Ltd's staff discount of 99% for their vibrators.

        Let me know once Samsung, hp, IBM and levono gets around 200k-300k workers. As one of the biggest employers in Australia, there's no reason why this deal shouldn't be posted… surely we all know someone that's an employee of Woolies/DSE/Dan Murphy/Big W/Tandys/BWS etc etc..

          There should be no discrimination to the number of staff that a company has before you post a staff discount.

          Be it 1 staff or 1 million staff.

    neg, staff discount is no "bargain" You might want to re-read the conditions of use on the back of the card

    there is also a reason why people dont get a shift more than once a fortnight, but i dont want this point misconstrued as a personal attack!

    good deal for staff i guess 10% better than nothing, to the people who voted negative.. ill remember to vote negative for EVERY sydney offer because i cant take advantage of it as i am in Melbourne, oh i might have to do the same to any offer in QLD, TAS,PERTH etc too, there is a deal a few pages back 10% discount at a particular coles store… yet i didnt see any of you post a negative because you cant get the deal. At the end of the day not every offer suits everyone.

      I voted negative because it's not a bargain, but an entitlement of employment with woolworths. Also, woolworths take a dim view of inappropriate use of misuse of the staff discount policy. If one staff members card is used too much, the business can data mine the transctions and cease the employment of those that are in breach of the
      policy. I fail to see how my negative is unjustified.

    I'm going to vote neg now, some people are being rude and spiteful, And I really don't see this as a "special" bargain for everybody here, just a select few that as stated should not be advertising staff discounts on a Bargain website.
