    I hate eBay!!

Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.

    • they are getting smart, this only came to 1 of my 5 accounts.

Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.

Is Turd your eBay name, maybe that's why?

    • I've not had any of these promotional offers. I'm fed up with eBay as it is. This only furthers my desire to give them no further money (buying or selling).

    Yep no invite again… :(

    Same, no invite.

Hope Amazon opens up here, eBay need serious competition.

    • Ebay can't compete with Amazon

      • Neither can compete with Hardly Normal: https://goo.gl/wq6JZu

        • That's hilarious! I did a click and collect with HN. Needless to say I will never buy from that company again.

I used to love selling and make a lot of money. That was in the ~5% fee days.
Now it's just a crippling joke, 13% including paypal.
I'd love to see what their revenue from Australia is really like now, because it seems like it's way harder to sell anything than it was years ago - the buyers are gone. I think the buyers know nothing is worth buying due to the fees being included in the price, no matter how many 20% off or free postage promotions they throw around.

        I don't think so.

Power sellers pay less fees than casual sellers (per item), and even with those factored, it's still cheaper than most local places. As for selling, try taking the item to cash converters, you'd crawl back to eBay.

I don't mind the fees, but what I do mind is when they recently starting charging Final Value Fees on the total cost including shipping (why should they take a cut for that?).

Prior to that change a few years ago, it was only FVFs on the price excluding shipping.

And Australia Post is an absolute rip off so you can't compete with overseas sellers.

I basically now only use eBay to sell my used stuff and gifts I no longer want.

I wonder why Oztion failed then.

It's the user base that makes the site - even if it's free there's no point using it unless someone is buying.

      • even if it's free there's no point using it unless someone is buying.

That's why eBay empower the buyer, you can have as many sellers as you like, but without buyers it will never take off.

  • I normally get these, but unfortunately not this time..

  • The real win is to get this whilst also receiving the no final value fee offer for next 10 items listed.

How is this even a deal? Every single time I see these "deals" the only person claiming they got it is the OP. Ridiculous.

    • Members vote to decide if it's a deal.

    • Agreed, no deal here (yawn)

  • Sweet, worked for me. FIRST time I've ever been eligible for an ebay offer….

  • (No Insertion/Final Value Fees)

… you can list 40 items for free every month so the only bargain here is the final value fee component.

    • Yes but with this you can list 50 instead of 40 and not pay any insertion fees.

      • I don't even hit the 40

    • I can list 100 per month for whatever reason.

      • Not for free.

        • Yep, specifically up to 100 free. Targeted I assume. I don't remember getting an email about it, I just started listing again after a few years off.

        • @wetsandwich:

As a promo, yes I've gotten that one.

          Thought you meant permanent.

  • I got this on my most used account somehow, thanks though!
