Regaine Half Price and Free Shipping at Chemist Warehouse (Plus a Further $50 Cash Back for 3 Month Foam Pack)

500

This morning on Triple M heard Chemist warehouse running a promo for all Regaine products. Half price and free delivery.

Googled and noticed how expensive this stuff normally is, so for those who use it regularly it is worth buying.

Edit: a further $50 cash back is available from Regain if you buy a 3 month foam pack. This makes it $19 with a regular price of around $150

  • So does this slop make your hair look permanently greasy or do you wash it out?

    • The oil, which I use, dries into what looks like dandruff. You can gently brush it out with your fingers and it's sweet. I recommend toweling it out of your hair before attempting to add any product for styling, though. I don't style my hair, but I can imagine the excess oil will alter the effects of whatever product you are using.

  • Looks like only 1 item of each per order. You can't actually stock up so easily, unless you attempt multiple orders.

I've been using this stuff for over a year. I have very limited hair-loss above my receding hairline, so it works well for me. I can't imagine 1 mL going very far across a wide hair-loss area.
I saw small but definitive results after about 2 months in the form of short regrowth.

Also, I've bought all my Regaine from ebay for $110 per box (4 months oil) or less with no issues, so I heavily suggest that over $136 in the future.

I used HairAGain which is the generic version of this for a few years prior to getting married. Used Propecia/Finasteride at the same time. Had excellent results.
It is very gradual, so don't expect to see a change in a few weeks.

When I stopped taking them, hair loss started again, at the original rate, not accelerated as some people suggest.

No side effects during or after.

    • i plan on doing the same but dropping the dosage significantly

  • I am planning to use this for my face to grow a beard. Will take pictures and keep you all updated thumbs up

  • Just in case you guys don't realise… there's two type of baldness. One is genetic which you can't do much about. The other… isn't. The reason the second one happens is due to testosterone. (Therefore you can halt it by having your vet book you in under your dog or cat's name, to be neutered.)

    I'm half serious btw.

Up to you to work out which half.

    • DHT. Unfortunately, while it can cause havoc with the hair on ones head, doing something about it in pill form can seriously affect your erection quality.

The stuff offered here basically does that job topically, and you still have to do it for life. I know where I'd rather put my money.

  • Email from Chemist Warehouse after purchasing saying they have no stock and don't know when they will be getting more :/

The cashback requires the barcode so that's off.

    • Did we Ozbargain Chemist warehouse?

    • not really, you ordered before 28th of april so thats when your invoice date will be, failing that send it back for a refund

  • Chemist warehouse did a unilateral order cancellation without consent for me.

  • I feel I have to warn you guys, I emailed them enquiring about something else (didn't mention the promo) and they included in their reply: 'Chemist Warehouse has the REGAINE* Men's Foam 3 Months 3x 60g on sale for $67.99. Please note, purchases for this product while on sale at this price cannot enter into our $50.00 cashback offer.' :(

    • I don't think this is published on their website.

I would purchase and if not able to claim the cash back, I would complain to Chemist warehouse / regaine as this rule does not appear to be part of their promotion terms

      • +1

I did tell them that too. They replied: Further to your question, as per number 1 of our Terms & Conditions on our website www.regaine.com.au “Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotional coupon”.
Can't return it if they make us cut out the barcode.. so it's abit of a risk.

        • Wow that's a bit stink.

  • Called the number on Regaine website and they have said that if it is bought at a special price as to t&c they would not send you the $50. I told them its not very clear and they said too bad pretty much

At this link you can just see that the price is $67.99.
No discount/sale is mentioned and to me $67.99 is the RRP price.
If you scroll down you can actually see that there are other products properly discounted with the RRP price "erased" and the $$ saved.
You don't need to be a lawyer to understand that they must honour the cashback.

    • Well - there are banners on each side of the page saying Regaine 1/2 Price (and free shipping) - but they normally sell it at a bit of a 'discount' from RRP, so I wonder if Regain accept the cashbacks then, or just they have decided now it's half price, we better bring out that ambiguious clause. I think that will do them more harm, as people will just say 'stuff em' and get the cheaper generics.

  • Did anyone's claim got accepted? I just bought from chemstwarehouse this morning.. is it better to return & get generic brand.

    • Can you return this item bought online?

  • +1

Well we have all been duped. The $50 Cash back can't be combined with any other offer.. Would have never bought this branded stuff. Kirkland all the way.

    • Is the kirkland the same ?
(i assume you mean the costco brand). I didn't know they did that

  • Rang J&J and they confirmed that the cashback offer couldn't be combined with the 1/2 price Chemist Warehouse offer…damn….

  • Me too, rang them and found out no cashback, damn !!

  • I rang ACCC. They advised me that if I felt it is a misleading cashback. I can write a complain letter to Regaine.

This is the letter format from ACCC website we can use to write the complain letter

    https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/complaints-problems/write-…

I rang Regaine and they told me that even if Chemist Warehouse had $1 discount, that would still make the claim invalid. My point is then Regaine might as well stated in the terms and conditions that the cashback was only valid for full price item.

If more people let ACCC know about Regaine cashback misleading, then hopefully, ACCC can do something about this.

  • Yup mine got rejected. No notification just quietly ignored.

    • Just sent me the rebate stating that they were right but as a gesture of good they will send me $50 anyway
