Love the promo write-up "Supatool Cantilever Toolkit is built to the usual exacting Supatool standards." Guaranteed to contain the minimum amount of steel possible ;)

    Good deal nonetheless.

Finally a real tool box set that includes the all essential cable ties :). They could easily make it 160 pieces.

  • there is cable ties i can see it at the bottom compartment in the photo.

yeah according to quick google there is 22 cable ties and 30 crimp terminals

    • Hahaha I didn't see them I was busy trying to work out if the screwdriver is a ratcheting one.

      • google also appears to say that the screwdriver is a ratchet handle, does anybody know of the quality of these tools?

        • Mate, for $70 don't expect they'll last forever. They'll suit for purpose until you eventually break the ratchet mech or strip a philips head, and then you'll upgrade.

But for a set around the house its fine. I've picked up a few of these cheap sets over the years.
They don't last anywhere near as long as decent brands, but then again they are a fraction of the price. I've got kids who borrow my tools and either lose bits or break them. These sets are basically throw away items that you don't have to worry too much about. They work perfectly fine.

        • @UFO: I've had a set like this 20 years, still going strong. Not that it gets a hell of a lot of use.

  • yes this is all top quality Junk tools…. good enough for your mom I guess.

Don't be a brand snob bud.

For a seldom used tool kit around the house for someone who doesn't already own a hammer or socket set, this is fine.
No one would expect this to be used for pros. It's built to a price for a specific purpose.

      • Well Im not a brand snob, I have a lot of cheap tools myself and they have done the job for me for over 20 years.

Its what you get in this kit that bothers me I think.

        • You get all the standards like any kit of this size? Even a shifter lol

Up until recently, I had this exact toolkit (well it had yellow screwdrivers) for the past 5 years. It went through many many household and car maintenance jobs. For the price, it's brilliant quality and the box itself is sturdy. The only issue I had were the hex keys were junk and rounded easily.
