+10% gst when it gets to our shores?
Effectively, you're looking at around $1322.48 + GST + Shipping according to a quick google exchange search.
The bundle itself is $999 USD
the 1070 will sell for around $450-$500, so the Vive costs ~$800.
really only a ~$300 saving if you're willing to not have any warranty whatsoever.

So in other words I could sell you 2 years insurance on 2 items worth $800 for $300 and you'd think that was a great deal.
@Diji1:
got my calc wrong, there is no deal here.
you're are also forgetting import duties, security fees etc, it isnt cheap if the item value is over 1k this is on top of the GST they add btw
Great value for those who live in the USA, or that guy who started that forum topic asking about it.
Heh, I've added this to my list…
Include local price in the title thanks.
I just got my vive from dicksmith/kogan last week for $1095 AUD from this deal- www.ozbargain.com.au/node/300679
I also got my 1070 for $500 over 4 months ago from this deal- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/279100
When you consider this deal- $1046 USD + 10% GST= $1485 AUD. Probably not worth the effort of getting this deal.
wrong the price is AUD$1,388.65 + 10% + admin fee $88, so really its not a deal at all being AUD$1615.51
A word of warning to anyone considering getting a Vive where you don't get access to Warranty repairs. Don't do it
As someone that has bought a Vive locally, I'm so glad I did. I've had an issue with one of the controllers and a lighthouse, both replaced on the spot by the retailer (JBHifi). Getting individual parts for the Vive is hard.
totally agree.
have been watching twitch for a long time. the streamer i watch suffer from parts issue had to get replace mulitple times.
Lirik, pokelawl,
+1. Buying and getting warranty repairs from HTC is fraught with issues and these are complex devices. I had a sticking controller pad (common issue) and it took 4 weeks to repair. HTC ignore most correspondence and their site won't sell replacement parts in Australia. It's a great piece of tech but buy from a retailer like JB HiFi (thankfully you can now buy controllers etc on eBay too).
anyone with a vive get ice lakes for $1. VR fishing
Damn, not bad at all
