Why the link doesn't look like from woolworths ? ===> http://pub.s6.exacttarget.com/rtjhjwkm3c2

    • +1

Exact Target is/was a marketing team.

    • I think it redirects to the marketing software they use

  • +2

    Another non-secure marketing Site

    • Does it matter?

WW Rewards number isn't exactly sensitive info, and surely you will be using an disposable/junk email account for WW Rewards.

      • +2

So you're using a disposeable email. And how do you redeem the insignificant amount of value Woolworths is giving you after you sign up using a disposeable email?

      • +2

Actually what if the rewards number already has money off and/or heaps of points in them. Anyone can easily use it up online without you knowing.

      • +3

If it's not sensitive why do you think they just give away 500 point? "no such thing as a free lunch"

The problem here is not only you are giving your WW Reward details to this marketing mob, anyone who wants to sneak in can steal you information from a non-secure connection.

No I don't use a disposable email for WW Rewards. I don't think it is a good idea to use a junk for something you are going to use for a long time.

  • +2

    OP, u da man! Cheers

  • +6

Hmm id rather not use a dodgy link for 500 points, bol for those who do.

  • +2

    yeah link looks dodgy.

  • +20

    it's actually redirected from my.woolworthsrewards.com.au/500points.

    • +2

      Thanks for that, much appreciated!

  • +2

is this a scam phishing attempt?

    • +8

No it's just an attempt to gather information about you so that you are manipulated into spending more money at Woolworth. You will be 100% unaware that the decision you made to spend money at Woolworths was the result of manipulation that occurred.

      • +7

I think my wife might be Woolies

        • +2

          That's why I pick Woolies

        • +4

If she's wooly, perhaps you should introduce her to Shaun.

  • +1

The OP has omitted to mention that this offer has been sent out by post.

The offer's Terms states that is personal to you and is specific to your WR Number..

So if you randomly put in your number without receiving the posted offer you may not get any points.

    • +2

That is true, however last time around I received the 500 points on an account that didn't get the letter.

TBH, I think Woolies will give anyone 500 points ($2.50 in-store credit) to be spammed in the hope you eventually buy something :)

  • It's legit - did one of these about a year ago.

  • Just got this offer in the snail mail from WW,s

  • 500 Bonus Points are worth $2.50, but you need to spend over $1500 to claim it. Don't waste your time if you're already a member.

    • Not if you already have a heap of points.

    • You are going to need to spend that $1500 at woolworth anyway…

      • Not if he is shopping at Coles and Aldi mostly.

  • This might help a tad with Double Non-Flight Qantas Points

    • Wooo 1000 points, twice the fun. Thank you!

    • +3

If you go here: https://my.woolworthsrewards.com.au/2000points if goes to "The page requested cannot be found"

    • +2

Seems like a better deal, maybe this post should be updated or have a deal on its own.

    • Let's you register for both, will have to see if you get both offers. :D

    • Devil in the detail

To ensure your offer has been added to your Woolworths Rewards card, opt in and activate your offer using the confirmation email we will send you on Sunday 09/05/2017, 23:59 AEDT. If you're interested you can also read our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. The 1000 bonus points will be added to your account by Friday 26/05/2017 23:59 AEDT. This offer is personal to you and is specific to your Woolworths Rewards card number.

      To repeat

This offer is personal to you and is specific to your Woolworths Rewards card number.

      • Yes, many promotions say this. Sometimes Woolworths Rewards actually programs them correctly so that only certain member numbers get the rewards. This means that sometimes they don't. Your results will vary. I've signed up one of our family member accounts just to see what happens.

      • Kinda like Mr Hardly Normal telling me I'm his VIP customer. Me and the rest of the country.

    • +1

Thanks, have added that to the description and title so people can choose either or both.

    • So is it legit?

  • +1

Wow, not sure what's going on with the darker skinned kid/ watermelon photo but in the states people would be up in arms over that.

    • Add that one to the list of hyper sensitive reasons to rebel against society… dark kids eating watermelon. :-(

      • +1

Yeah definitely not my sensitivity but, watermelon (often fried chicken too) are kind of original African American pop culture racist memes. SJWs would seriously poop a brick over it.

        • Some things must be ignored rather than pandered to.
I saw something recently about white milk and how it represents the white supremacy movement or similar … So sad. Never ending.. :-)

        • Wheres the watermelone picture?

  • done !

  • I don't have their rewards program. Can someone who does tell me what 1500 points is actually worth in the real world? So we can gauge if we can be bothered to sign up or not.

    • +1

$7.50 if you convert to Woolworths Dollars.

The minimum amount you can redeem in Woolworths Dollars is $10.

  • This site looks very suspicious. It's sending all the data to a random server over a non secure connection. If it is sanctioned by Woolies poor form. If you are on public wifi beware someone could harvest your details

    • +1

How do you know what its sending out?
Do you have another device in monitor mode with aircrack?
Oops i have said too much!

  • +1

We received 2 letters in the mail today from Woolworths Rewards inviting particular members into this promotion. Both members have been taking up targeted offers in the last 3 months so they are not just targeting lapsed members or members who haven't been activating email offers. As it happens, one of the accounts was the one I used last night to test the website. Both offers were for the 500 points and there were 8 weeks of offers as well included.

    • I've received this on the account I often use

8 Weeks of Bonus Offers link.

Trying random numbers, 12345 seems to be someone named Ingrid :\

    • Who else but Ingrid?
      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • Steve. 54321

        (ツ)

  • the 1000s point emails are supposed to be today. Lets see if it happens…

    • OP and the image says 16/05

      • The 500 point emails say 16/05/17

      • I just checked and the 1000 are supposed to come "Sunday" the 09/05 which is in fact today, Tuesday. and yes the 500 are on the 16/05 Must be two separate campaigns a week apart.

        • Sounds very interesting. On the 500 point cards it says they have to be activated by the website by the 7/5 and the email will arrive on 16/05. I wonder why the promotions had different dates.

        • @pointscrazy:
Yes its a bit strange. If you click the crossed out 1000 points link at the top of the OP, you can still see the details

    • +1

Haven't received the 1000 points yet, did anyone have any luck?

      • +1

        Nope

        • +1

          No points for me too.

      • +2

Nope no email to activate, nothing. I guess it was targeted after all, oh well..

        • Even it was targeted, nobody reported having received it.It more looks like Woolies stuffed up as usual.

  • +2

Received bonus 500 points activation email this morning

Edit: registered 2 cards, received email only on one

  • Didnt receive the 500…

  • Merged from [TARGETED] Woolworths Rewards: 500 Bonus Points Via Email

This is a heads up, in case people don't usually read their Woolworths Rewards email.

I received an email this morning which gave me 500 bonus points for just clicking on "Activate Now".

    Subject is

[Your name], your 500 bonus points have arrived.

link was to click.email.WoolworthsRewards.com.au/ … etc

That was it. Click on the activate now button, get told I'll get 500 points in the next 10 days.

I assume it's targeted but maybe it was sent to everybody.

    *Terms & Conditions
*You must activate your offer by clicking "ACTIVATE NOW" by 21/05/17 23:59 AEST for your Bonus Points to be added to your account. Your 500 Bonus Points will be added to your account by Friday 02/06/17 23:59 AEST. This offer is personal to you and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

    • Just got this email too before.

    • +4

I think it's linked to this deal

    • +2

I didn't get it, but will check my dog's email account for his!
Yep dog got it, and he rarely shops at Woolies. I didn't get it, and I shop there often. Conclusion…!

      • Conclusion: dogs are cute?

    • By taking Woolworths tiny pittance in exchange for your personal details you're ensuring that you're manipulated into spending more money with no conscious awareness of the manipulation happening.

      • "with no conscious awareness of the manipulation happening."
Thats probably going a little far. I think most people have a basic grasp of targeted marketing

    • Indeed it appears it's the follow on from this deal, as that deal states:

You'll then receive an email on Tuesday 16th of May. Simply activate your offer and the points are yours!

So this email received today is the 500 points from that offer.

  • I was targeted - 500 points - still have the flyer. Did what I was supposed to do initially - & am still waiting for the 'activate' email from Woolies. [+ now even less keen on them after recycling placcie bag revelations on 'War on Waste' programme last night's TV]

  • I added many accounts - none received the email.

  • Never got any?
