Cheapest on staticice is $167.20 so i dont know if this is a huge bargain?

Yeah would hardly say it's a bargain but ehh it's cheaper, however I would personally pay the $290 for the 80Gb Intel ones from Fluidtek atleast Eddie does the best deals

  • Or buy this for $189. ($200 delivered using Australia Air Express)

    G.Skill Phoenix PRO 60GB SSD (3year warranty)

I find that 40GB is just not enough. Much better to get at least a 60GB unit.

Yeah my 120gb SSD for Win7 is 84% full :/ I actually never thought it would get this full so quickly. It pays to have a larger drive.

And yes for $20 I would definitely get an extra 20gb over the 40gb OCZ :)

      • dont know what your installing on it i have 2*32GB drives in SSD for the OS and haven't even half filled them with the OS… though i have moved my swap files and temp files onto the main storage drives…(to extend the life of the SSDs)

typically i install apps on the SSD's everything else goes onto standard drives.

  • My understanding is that the smaller the hard-disk the shorter is its life - the little space that remains unoccupied means less memory for controller to spread its writes cycles. In other words, a small drive, unless definately only used for read-only is not a good investment no matter how quick.

  • This is MLC - - what's the cheapest SLC available?

  • I vote + purely…as at least SOMEONE is trying to be cheapest in SSD (priceengine is gone…for now)

    hopefully more SSD deal coming?

  • We need a deal on the G.Skill Phoenix PRO 60GB SSD. It's supposedly a hell of a SSD drive :)
