You're getting slow JV. What's the bargain? What's the standard price?

  • +7

    isnt this the standard price?
    this is OzBargain not OzInformation.

  • Its a sticker, right? Provides no real drop protection?

If I didn't have a case for my $1200 device, I would want to show it off.

  • About $16 delivered with a 40% off code (SW) at slickwraps.

    • 40% is average at SlickWraps - wait for 60% off or even more which comes up frequently.

Found these fairly useless overall for protection. Won't protect against drops. Don't cover edges so can still get scratched. Looks cool but kind of ends there.

For something as expensive and fragile as the S8, I'd definitely get a case.

  • i bought from slickwraps with SW code.
they already have stock so should arrive in time

i'll just point out that these aren't advertised as drop protecting products. They are advertised as solutions to: scratches and fingerprints on your phone, improve the general grip on slippery phones, and are overall nice solutions for customisation.

    Hi Linus

    • And every other tech Youtuber! I dont think there's a channel with less than 10k subs that isn't sponsored by them.

  • I haven't used Dbrand before but my experience with slickwraps was horrible. It took more than a month to arrive, but the application process was quiet simple. The skin itself due to the multiple sections on it just started to come off (especially at the thin sections near the power button, volume buttons and micro usb), and eventually the corners had peeled up (less than a month with it on). Also the first drop I had with my phone with the skin on (and the only drop I've ever had on my S7) caused dents on the case instantly because the wrap doesn't go around the corners completely. Overall I was more annoyed that the skin started peeling so quick making it useless.

    • Having experience with both, I'd say that neither skins are really protective and are mostly aesthetic. In the case of glass backed phones like the s7, it's more about scratch prevention. However my experience with dbrand skins has been significantly better in terms of shipping, fitment of vinyl, instructional videos and longevity.

      • Fair enough, I never really expected it to completely protect my phone though, my biggest gripes with the skin was how quickly it began peeling, the very thin parts just seemed like they weren't designed with longevity in mind.
