reported as limited stock- there can be only One!

  • I've found my Mi takes aaaaaaages to charge. Am I imagining things, or is this AusPost one a faster charger @ 3 hours?

    • +1

You are using the wrong charger?

      • I don't think I was given one with the powerbank but I will definitely try my 2.5A raspberry pi power supply when it arrives.

Get 1 of the 5-output desktop chargers that go on sale often on here. I got one and it just forms a charging 'hub', handy for power banks and tablets etc. Was really handy for the family holiday to power everything

2.4A output should charge the power bank fine

    • What's the rating on your Mi? My 16000 can take 10hrs from flat.

  • You know that there a bloody good chance that this battery is also Chinese, right? It's just not as good or as cost effective.

    • +1

      It probably is.
But Australian branding+warranty gives me peace of mind.

      • But Australian branding+warranty gives me peace of mind.

None of that matters when you're standing on the side of the road watching your house born down. I'd rather buy one from a known manufacturer like Xiaomi and not experience this.

Good luck claiming insurance after a chinese bought product gives birth(LOL) to your house.
Hey, if you want to trust xaiomi go ahead. But take my word for it you will have a less headache claiming from australia post than xaiomi.
          Thanks

          @0p:

Hey, if you want to trust xaiomi go ahead.

Yes I will add these have been tested extensively, have all sorts of protection against fire and don't have a cable built in which is stupid.

But take my word for it you will have a less headache claiming from australia post than xaiomi.

Bollocks, Australia Post will carry these cheap dangerous products for a month or two before they move onto other rubbish products to fill their stores with. You'll get no warranty support and might get a refund after a drawn out process.

These no-name poorly constructed packs are dangerous, giving them away as presents is a stupid thing to do unless you hate the recipients. Giving Australia Posts huge markups how much do you think they cost to manufacture? $1? 50c?

Spend the extra and get a Xiaomi pack, they are more expensive because they cost more to manufacture and use quality batteries and electronics.

Highlander specialized in set top boxes… remember buying a Highlander DH2826 STB about 7 years ago.

    • -1

      I know.
They have built a reputation over the years…
This is better than ChingBow or ZhangChow i guess sometimes brands matter to some people?
      Thanks

      • +1

Well… you can go to Target and buy a 3000mah powerbank for $15 or an AKAI one from Gerry Harvey for also $15

        There's also a 6000mah powerbank from SkyComp for 15

        • I guess you could…
But i needed one with a built in cable which is light and has at least 5000mAh
          So i bought this.

Edit- lol did i cut you off whilst you were still editing?
          Target link is brikd

        • The Target ones seem dodgy with horrid reviews ( got last years models that seem to work well ).

Akai one seems O.K. but small capacity.

The SkyComp is $25 delivered unless can pick up from Sydney CBD.

For $19.95 the Highlander is good value for 5000mAh and nice thin form factor with built in cable.

As long as it performs well as stated, good for local stock. Should compliment a Experia XA nicely :-)

        • +1

Yeah this power bank is great for the price…
I use it to compensate for the semi-flawed XA battery
Based on tests it can charge an XA approximatley 1.5 times…
          :)

  • Op, are the listed specs for the 5000mAh model? I think so, could you please add specs for smaller lighter ( hopefully ) 2300mAh model that seems to be $12.99 online and in my catalogue ( even better bargain ). I love super slim light powerbanks you can slip in pocket to top up in emergencies ( bigger ones stay in backpacks or car glove box ).

    • +1

Sorry but I have already given away both smaller power banks i bought.
If someone posts the info here i have no problem adding it.
I have updated the price to $12.99
      Thanks

  • Look what I found on the Good Guys website. The linked Cygnett charge up pocket is identical to the small Highlander with same size, ports and specs, just different color cable, and also $18. So to answer the critics here saying it is probably not good quality, wrong. They are light and well made too.
