  • is it no longer available in-store???

    • +1

The other link says it has expired. They did this before, finish the deal, then have it exclusive to the App.

      • can i still redeem the free chips and coke on a previous receipt of I use the xpress app???

        • You could give it a try?

        • +4

yes you can. just show the person at the counter when picking up your order.

        • @hbg: i couldnt find the 2 sides for 5.95. Where can i find that in the app? i tried adding a large coleslaw and potato and gravy but the total wasn't right.

        • @angelkulit025:
Try under Shared Meals. That's if your store is promoting it.

  • Today Only

isnt this the usual Tuesday special?

    • I wish it was.
There is a similar deal on the Xpress App. 10 pieces, + 2 sides for $19.95.

      • The take home dinner pack for $15 is the 9 piece + large chips + large pot&gravy every night after 4pm.

        • Is the take home dinner pack available on the Xpress App, or is it just in certain stores?

        • @timtameatssomeham:
It is available in store not the app, but TBH im not sure because the KFC I always pass by has it (Castle Towers). Dont really pay attention to any others.

    • In Qld it is, or was. The local KFC took down their Tuesday $9.95 banner, so maybe its ended.

  • is the $2.50 for chips and gravy still going?

    • -1

Sure is, via the app. And $2 Lamington Krusher.

That makes for a decent Tuesday snack.

      • $4.50. Your 50cents short of a feedback offer. Gotta turn in your ozbargain badge.

Incidentally Parra nsw manager is kind of devious when it comes to feedback offers not only must u redeem, yes use the completed code, in 7 days of date purchase date. Staff also refuse to give u the receipt when you buy a $1 frozen Pepsi.

        • +1

          Oh, please re-instate my badge.

I go the Burger double deal (2 zingers for 5.95, only available in TAS I believe?) + the 2.50 chips, and if I'm feeling greedy + the $2 Krusher.

Then with the feedback deal, that is a whole lot of food for ~$10

I've noticed similar shenanigans with the receipt, my local store is hesitant to hand it over unless you specifically ask!

        • +1

          @railspider:

That sounds acceptable.. thereby I bestow upon thee the title of "Honourary member of the order of Ozbargain."

Unfortanely we are a bit short on gold badges so you just have use one of the badges you earned from us.

How is this a deal, It's that price every Tuesday.

    • +1

Not in all stores. If your store has it all year round, maybe give them a mention.

      • Sure, KFC at Modbury have it all year round afaik… Got some last week.Cheap meal for the family.

But be warned they nearly always get your order wrong.

        • I think getting your order wrong at KFC is the one thing they're good at.

I got into a full blown argument at KFC last week over (a) the young girl at drive thru screwing up our order badly and then (b) the gimp employed as the manager not being able to workout what was charged correctly/incorrectly despite having the docket in his hands.

To top it off the chips were soggy and tasteless and the chicken was under cooked. That was at KFC at Fulham Gardens I'll never go there again just incompetence all round.

          @clubberlang:

Thew screwed up my order the other day as well.

I bought a meal and was supposed to get 2 drinks but instead they stuffed it up and gave me 4 drinks. Not gonna to argue with that..

So a few days later I went to another KFC. Bought my meal went and went to a table to enjoy it. After 5 minutes I noticed I didn't get the 2 drinks that came with my meal. Karma?????

          Nah…….

I went back to the KFC counter and there was two lonely drink just sitting there. So I said to the service assistant. I seemed to have forgotten to take the 2 drinks that with my meal. She said there you go and pushed the drinks forward.

And the rest of the day went ok, for me at-least.

        • @imcold:

          Lol, great story :)

        • @imcold: Hahaahahah, I have no idea why but this story makes so happy XD. I just imagine someone coming by later going "…… where'd my drinks go?"

      • I can confirm I got this deal on Tuesday instore in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong. Just had to ask, hesitantly. I was not looking and wasn't even sure if the sign was still up (it wasn't). Tend to get good customer service there though. At least for the times I've been.

    • Nope, not in NSW :(

  • Is the 9 for $9.95 still on for WA ? Was planning on having it for dinner but couldnt find the post about it regarding exp date

    • Warwick store said it ended last week.

    • +3

Confirm I just ate 9 for $9.95 in Perth City (Williams St) store. Must order through the Xpress App. Previously almost no Perth stores were Xpress stores but now it seems overnight they're all Xpress stores.

If you just walk in store they actually have a sign up saying the 9 for $9.95 deal has finished but I ordered through the app and they served it up no probs.

Confirm I just ate 9 for $9.95 in Perth City

Did you eat all 9 pieces? 🤔

        • +1

Whoops I didn't mean it that way. Just meant I bought the 9 for $9.95 deal. Was shared between 2 people. I ate 5 pieces - 2 thighs, 1 breast, 2 wings.

        • @Xastros:
Thanks for information of what pieces you ate

        • +3

@wheresthebeef: LOL well someone wanted to know how many pieces I ate so I thought I'd let him/her know which pieces as well in case they happened to give a toss.

        • +1

          @Xastros:

Ok which order did u eat them in.

        • +1

@imcold: Thigh, breast, thigh, wing, wing.

        • +1

          @Xastros:
If you had to do it again, would you change the order?

        • @Xastros:
I think you may need to do an AMA on your KFC eating habits. Give the public what they want.

        • @Miss B: LOL think there is seriously nothing left that anyone could possibly ask about my eating of KFC.

      • Damn! Ok will download the app and have a look, thanks!

    • +1

I'm in WA and the Xpress app on my Android phone popped up earlier saying that I could get it today with the app only, just like this deal. As far as I know, WA should be included in the OP.

  • Glen Waverley store in Vic has it available in store not just on app!

  • 9 for 9.95 instore today at ashfield mall 2130 nsw

  • Sweet as
$12 for a box of freakin awesome chicken, a crusher, chips and a drink.

    Not a bad tuesday

  • i dono why i got this one lunch time, it made me sick! they also give no dipping sauces or anything, it was a all just greeesy and bland, very very terriable, i regreted it instantly, never again.

    • its more of a take home thing, i cook chips and veges with 2 peices for dinner then make chicken and salad wraps as lunch for days with the remaining pieces, best deal ever

      • yeah i get that, i used to split it with my brother after work, but the thing is, it was lunch, it was $9.95 and i was hungry, i was planing to take whats left to the fridge, but jsut ate like half and dumped the rest. usually you get a few crap pieces in it too like the carcus very little meet so it wasnt a major loss.

  • +3

Can confirm this is for WA too. Really need to go to the gym now…

  • i always ask for 2 breast pieces, the other peices such as wing, drumstick and thigh are always good for me. Guess it depends on your store

  • Does the KFC Express App allow you to nominate a pickup time?

    • +1

huh? Just order from the app and once youre in the store, click I'm at the store and the order will be prepared tro be made (if you paid by card)

      • I see. That is a close enough compromise.

I was hoping there is an option to nominate a pickup time, like with the Dominos web page which allows it.

        • +1

As soon as you click the "I'm in store" button it bumps your order to the top of the screens as long as you've pre-paid. If your KFC is normally slow you can get away with clicking the button 5 mins out from you arriving to the store which hopefully it would be ready when you arrive so you don't have to wait. Also by doing so you skip the queues.

  • +1

I just bought 9 pieces for $9.95 without the app.

    • i think this varies, from store to store.
if the manager is pragmatic, you can negotiate a good deal.
a happy customer, returns back more often :-)

      • Same with substitutions. The family type meals they had had too many crap parts like nuggets. Usually I cant swap anything, they are anal. But Ive had an adult serve me (probably owner/franchisee by her age) at the same store and she was good, swapped like value for like value without issue.

  • This is stupid, not 1 KFC near my area is xpress apped :(

    • If you would like the deal without the app and if you're ever in Wollongong, try the one in Fairy Meadow. Had luck there last Tuesday and tend to get good customer service there. Like actual good, friendly customer service like wishing me to have a good day or night with a real smile after I get my order. It's kind of annoying actually…

EDIT: Forgot to add I don't know if they're Xpress Apped or not for anyone who'd like to know and use it anyway. And that I didn't even know (or not paid attention and forgot) about this app before this post.
