Can confirm that I received the headphones from futuregear quickly after the last post with either mightyape or futuregear listed. They are impressive - just be mindful and think that they'll compete on noise cancellation with the bose which is significantly better.

    • How long for processing/shipment?

      I'm leaving in 10 days..

      • +2

Took about 4 business days to the door (melb metro)

      • Ordered one Saturday. Still not shipped. I might still get it soon but you might want to reconsider if the timing is tight.

        • I also ended up ordering on Saturday. Fingers crossed!

        • @jayz: cool. I'll keep you posted if I hear from them.

And thanks OP. This is a good deal.

wow thats pretty cheap pair of cans!
i got the 1st version, bit bulky and really tempted to upgrade them.

  • These look good, can anyone comment on their effectiveness in blocking out voices (I have a motor mouth sitting next to me at work).. also wondering about the size as I have a big head.. thanks for any info..

    • +1

I find compared to Bose if you have big ears they are snug fit. For blocking out voices they are ok but better at constant ambient noise eg: engine noises.

  • Love the Backbeat Pro original version, only issue ive had is the foam keeps splitting on the earpiece. I'm on my third one, because it happens after 8 months, so I just send them back and get a new pair under warranty.

I'm waiting for them to just give me a pair of these so I will leave them alone lol.

As stated, a little bulky, but this version looks slimmed down. The noise cancelling is great, doesn't make everything like a cone of silence but still cut out a lot of noise.

For $165 its a no brainer imo

  • OOOOOO a 6GB 1060 for below $300
    Thats a first!!!!!

  • This deal bypassed our eBay posting guidelines because an alternative store of 'futuregear.co.nz' was entered, but the domain is no longer accessible. The seller is not a top-rated seller. If you purchase from them, it is at your own risk.

futuregear.co.nz has now been banned on OzBargain for being a non-existent domain.

    • I bought one.

I can still see the listing in eBay with a seller called 'futuregear'.

Did this get banned because of an OzBargain posting rule violation, or is this because this deal is a scam?

      • The store futuregear.co.nz is banned because it no longer directs to the online store.
It is just an OzBargain rule violation - we only allow eBay deals that are top-rated sellers.

Non-reps / regular users are able to post deals only if the seller is a Top Rated Seller, or if the seller has an online store domain

Edit: In other words if the seller obtains top-rated seller status, then their future deals on eBay can be posted.

        • Got it. Thanks. I'll keep updating the status of my order for the benefit of any potential buyers.

        • @kotobuki:

I'll also keep you updated. No updates so far since purchasing…

          @jayz:

I too did not receive any update through my eBay, so called them up, the NZ PB store.

They were super helpful and said that the items get shipped today. They even sent me a link to the Australia Post tracking page.

There is a fair chance that yours is shipped too, just that they have not updated eBay yet. If you fancy a call though, the number is +64 9 526 9200.

Hopefully you will get it on time.

          @jayz:
Got it. That was fast! Inside 4 days. Impressive.

        • @kotobuki:

          Lucky!
Still waiting for mine, but good to hear you got yours. I'll assume mine is early next week :)

Thanks for keeping me updated, less worried now. Much appreciated.

Receive the headphones today, takes 3 days to get them.

Compare with my other two headphones, qc25 and Sony zx770bn.

Tight fit , not as comfortable as qc25
Bluetooth range is better than zx770bn, but I definearely can not get 100m with my iPhone se.maybe later try with wife's iPhone 7.
Button control is practical, good design. Sony zx770's design is utterly rubbish. You never find the button when you wear them.
