Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce Gaming $509 @ UMART

220

Looks like UMART has dropped about $100 across their range of NVIDIA 1070 graphics cards. Cheaper than any listing on staticice

Similar price reduction on 1080 range too. Stock in some models, such as the Gigabyte in the link, and others on back-order.

I'd avoid Umart. Their customer service and warranty is on par with old school msy. Trying to weasel out of replacing a faulty item (within the "7day refund for a fault" policy advertised) then trying to charge a device fee because the faulty case require them to look at the case with all your working parts in it. Kind of a joke if you ask me.

    I'd go somewhere else

    • On the alternate side of this, the blokes at Umart 8 mile plains were absolutely fantastic. I brought faulty ram back and they immediately gave a new set no questions asked. I was also having a bit of trouble with my first build so i took it in, one of the blokes walked over fixed it on the spot with no charge.

      • Would also like to post another positive review for Umart (southport). We had no issues getting a refund for our almost 2 year old faulty SSD.

        • I have had plenty of issues with the Southport store and them not honour warranty on products and providing poor support for computer systems they have built.

    • I've been going to Umart for over a decade and never had a problem with them.

  • This is tempting, obviously price drops to coincide with the imminent 1080ti release. I had my heart set on vega, but don't know if I can wait any longer.. my r290 just isn't good enough for modern titles anymore.

    • I'm with you there. I've recently picked up a Ryzen 1700 to pair with my old 7950, but I'd really like a new GPU. Polaris refresh and Vega still seem too far off…

      • Just saw the 1080ti benchmarks and my jaw dropped, didn't think nvidia had another ace up the sleeve. It's more than twice the speed of an 480, so it would be 3-4 times as fast your 7950. It's probably going to be hell expensive though.

        • Mwave.com.au has some stock of the Founders Edition 1080 Ti. It's looking like $1129, maybe a bit less when the partner boards come out. Not too bad of a price when you consider how much the 1080 non-Ti is.
