It took more than 2 months to receive my micro usb cables. So dont order if you are in a hurry.

    • -8

Are you always in a hurry?

    • Yikes!

Any way to get this faster?
I need it in a month tops.

Edit: $4.30 faster shipping just sours the deal. Not so worth it.

    • I actually thought I'd lost it when I went looking for it after buying my Switch pro controller.

Then it arrived the next day in mail. Man that took forever.

    • Well I got my Apple preorder ones in about 2 weeks from shipping date. Everything else from BG has never taken more than a month for me. Average 2-3 weeks.

    • Almost purchased, thank goodness I cancelled! Ain't waiting 8 weeks that's insane

    • I ordered 2 weeks ago and got it in 8 business days.

Any chance of a coupon code for a 1.8m or 3m USB-C to USB A?

  • +2

For the extra $1 or so, I would rather get the reversible micro USB cable.

    • +1
    • +1

I wouldn't. They can damage some phones' micro-USB ports…my friend's S6 got damaged by one of these cables

      • The usb connection seems to be one of the most easily damaged parts of the phone by 'normal' usage. I wish a magnetic charging connection would catch on. Possibly USB C will be better.

        • There are magnetic charging connections made by a few companies, they aren't the best because you need to leave a small magnetic anchor plugged in that restricts you to ONLY their products.

This was the most recent one I've seen, not recommending the product at all though. Would prefer a manufacturer solution like QI.

        • Yes, there are lots of cables that have a magnetic adaptor, but most of them seem like they are charge only and not data (your link confirms data though) so I've been reluctant to get one.

        • -1

@Telios: Er… Then plug an adapter into the magnetic cable.

i.e. USB female to >… whatever.

      • +1

Been using one with my s7 edge and my mum with her Lumia 520 for a year now. No problems whatsoever.

        YMMV

  • Any chance of lightning cables on sale?

  • What does "Magic Tape Strap" mean?

    • velcro?

    • +1

      It's a trap.

    • +1

It's a little velcro strap for keeping the cable bundled up, like the old nokia chargers used to have. It's magic because it time travelled here from 1999

  • What's the quality of this cable like (esp the connectors)? I found that for some cable, the contacts get loose, and render the cables useless, very quickly.

    • Short version: Bad quality

Long version: See other post in thread

      • Cheers. I'll stay away from these then.

  • This is better in my honest opinion

    Anker powerline+ micro usb 10ft / 3m

    http://m.ebay.com/itm/331978268086?_mwBanner=1

    $10 USD free shipping.

Longer cable I can personally vouch for the build quality and nice support from anker if anything goes wrong.. bought three just in case for usage around the house.

I went with cablegeek.com.au for some unknown can't remember reas on though stupidly because I think of PayPal issues with my own personal account but this is ankerdirect ankers official eBay shop so it should ideally be better.

Give it a try might be good might be great.

    • Unfortunately that is the American/Canadian supplier of Anker, they will not ship to Australia.

You need to use the Ankerdirect-3 supplier for Australia.

      http://www.ebay.com/usr/ankerdirect-3?_trksid=p2060353.m2749…

      • wow these are really expensive….

      • Damn sorry my bad I knew this was the wrong page or something haha lol

        Thanks Telios for correcting me.

I got mine from cablegeek.com.au with a small minor discount from our local CG associate. Forgot he or she's name but they haven't posted up a post in awhile iirc.

  • How does this compare to ebay cables????

  • +3

I would not be ordering these cables!!

Nothing against the company selling them, but these particular Blitzwolf cables are shite!

I bought 4 of them direct from Blitzwolf and every single one has had the casing on the USB plug end come loose/off.

This leaves a potentially un-shielded plug-end that could be vulnerable to surges or damage, and brings the overall quality of these cables into question.

Someone suggested Anker cables and I would 100% support that over the Blitzwolf or Tronsmart cables (same manufacturer IIRC).

    • Thanks for sharing your experience, as you are covered under the warranty, contact me and I will arrange a new one to be sent to you. You should not see this issue in the future as BlitzWolf has revised their cable plug design and the ends are locked in place.

      • I also bought 4 of these cables from Banggood and experienced the same issue - the cable shroud at the connector came off and then the cable eventually fails altogether.

They seemed promising at first, but I could not recommend the cables based on my experience.

    • Exact same thing has happened to all my reversible blitz wolf cables. They just seem lightly glued on and come off after a few weeks of use. Does not feel like a premium product at all

      • Yuppppp. As I said, nothing against Banggood, but that cable design is shite and I'd rather pay a bit more for something that has the potential to damage hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of equipment (as-in my now faulted Xiaomi phone which might have been caused by one of the crappy cables).

    • The glue used to attach the metal cover to the plug came loose on all of mine. Fortunately I had some PVA glue which seemed to have done the trick.

  • dammit i ordered one the other day, thought i was splurging on a good quality one

  • I would reiterate, please do not buy reversible micro usb cables. Micro usb was never meant to be reversible and blitzwolf made it so by making the micro usb plug into a weird hexagonal shape. The reversible micro usb cables can damage the ports on phones.

Even blitzwolf themselves say they shouldn't be used with phones like s6, s7 etc

    • Can you share a link?

        Incompatible Devices:
Parts of devices have tested and confirmed incompatible with double-sided cable.
        Samsung Smart Phone (S6 S7 and S6 edge S7 edge) , Moto Nexus 6,Gionee Life S5.1(Kazam tornado 348)

        • That's banggood, a reseller, not blitzwolf who manufactured the cables.

        • @ChillBro:

Micro usb was never meant to be reversible.

        • @twister292: If that's the best you can come up with then I guess your original statement is false:

Even blitzwolf themselves say they shouldn't be used with phones like s6, s7 etc

        • @ChillBro:

BG say so because those cables have been known to damage some phones' usb ports.

No point trying to shoe horn reversibility into a port never meant to be so.

        • @twister292: I am guessing this originated from your friend's problem.

I'm sure all consumers, myself included, appreciate that you are warning others of a potential issue but there is no need to exaggerate the truth.

I personally have used a blitzwolf reversible cable for the past few months for several devices and it has worked perfectly.
