Great price for a factory refurb.

Currently $999 on for same JB-Hifi https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/tablets/samsung/…

Good reviews averaging 8/10.
When compared to Surface Pro 4 with better Super 2160x1440 AMOLED screen with vivid colour, better battery life. However less ports, and slower processor when compared to i7, and 4GB RAM.

I will never trust 2nds world. Bad experience.

Care to elaborate? I was considering purchasing a Bosch oven through them (brand new though)

      • +1

I bought a juicer (which was damaged box or 2nds). They were fine for me.

  • +2

I bought a 27inch 120Hz 3D monitor (refurb) from them 3 years ago for $300, no problem at all.

    • Wow bargain!

  • Shame about then single USB port (which is used by the charger) and the screen burn in that Samsung offically acknowledges.

All Amoled screens suffer the same issue, this is not device specific.

Where did I say it was device specific. Just because it happens to other AMOLED screens, doesn't make any less shitty.

That said, putting a AMOLED screen on a Windows tab, where a huge task bar is present continually, is a very dumb idea (Samsung's speciality).

          auto hide taskbar?

Buy a device that isn't fundamentally flawed and doesn't require workarounds?

          @PainToad:

Millions of people did it when Plasma TV's came out, it's called a screen saver.

          It's not 2007 any more.

          @PainToad:

Better screen quality for the sake of turning on a screen saver.
It's all about personal preference here, each to their own.
It's sold out so obviously lots of people agree with me.

  • Two main drawbacks of this. Sub par stand (compared to the surface/ hp x2 line) and lack of USB type A port.

I'm still damn tempted for the price!

    • Yeah both devices you listed are 1.5k+

      • This is also a 1.5k+ device, if you're comparing RRP. Both the surface and x2 can be had for sub 1k.

Also, these drawbacks still stand, regardless of price.

Had it and loved it. If I was after a tablet I would buy straight away. Price is awesome

  • 1 usb port and its also the charging port? Wtf were they thinking

    • +1

Same thing Apple were thinking with the current Macbook I guess - would be nice to at least have a second usb-c port!

Lordy I'm tempted - the display is gorgeous and the portability would be nice. Shame you need an adapter to even have video out though!

      Wtf were they thinking

      Samsung and Apple don't think.

Yeah, too busy putting out fires…

        • And in Apple's case fleecing the ignorant…

          Just like Samsung.

  • This is now showing Sold Out

  • No LTE is a bit disappointing but still a good deal for the price.

  • +2

Thankfully sold out or i would have purchased

  • Keyboard is not included which is a shame. For people who are still interested the LTE version is avaible for $699
