    So, pretty much still slow vs standard cable charging.

      Nope. Goes up to 9V/1.2A which is one of the levels that Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 go to.

        QC 2.0 wired chargers are 18W, whereas this is maximum 10W

        So slower than wired fast chargers

      No, standard cable charging is up to 10 watts (5V 2A - QuickCharge 1.0).
      This can do 10 watts - which is just as fast as standard cable charging.

        Wireless chargers are not the go to for speed …. they are convenient and help if the usb connector on the phone is failing. Some people have them on their desk and rest their phones on as it requires little effort.

        What will be interesting is the details of how much faster it ACTUALLY charges the phone.

        I doubt the smarts in the wireless charge circuitry in the phone would take advantage of higher voltage as the phone and charger would need to be engineered to take full advantage, though the base unit might have stronger field if you push more voltage. Same effect as taking phone out of case so the induction field is stronger.

        I avoid QC anyway except in emergency as it runs batteries noticeably hotter and shortens battery lifespan.

        use it to charge the Braun toothbrush faster ?

          Yes, just like how wired QuickCharge 2.0 and 3.0 only work with devices that support it, phones will have to support wireless fast charging. The Note 5, S6 edge+, S7, and S7 edge all support it.
