Withdraw Amaysim Credit Balance - What Are My Options?

Hey Guys,

I've had Amaysim for almost a year and a half now with about $110 in credit currently. I am trying to withdraw this credit or transfer it to another family member on Amaysim in order to port my number across to Optus to take advantage of the current family and friends deal.

I tried calling Amaysim and they were unhelpful and refused to do anything as the vouchers were loaded and not credit directly from a credit card. They want voucher numbers which I currently no longer have.

What are my options besides sucking up and sticking with them?

    Your only option is sucking it up and sticking with them, vouchers of that nature are non transferable and non refundable.

    Just curious why you bought so much illiquid credit from them via vouchers.

        But referral credit goes straight into the account, no voucher involved.

        Haha one of the more active OzBargainers here would be a millionaire if he could cash out the referral credit.

        I actually got no referral credits of that deal as amaysim cancelled the referral program for a time right when that deal was posted. The credits were from vouchers I bought even before that when they were half price at woolies.

    Last year, I had similar issue, but only $10 credit. I added another account for $5 sim and requested customer service to add $5 credit to new number. CS did that and I was able to transfer my main number to Telstra and use Amaysim new number as back up for international calls. Try that if it still works.

    I managed to get amaysim to transfer majority of the funds across to a family member on amaysim after lots of back and forth. The rest of the funds I let go. Now on optus as we speak!
