Western Digital external (2.5") 3TB HDD USB 3.0 with free shipping.
Found them in "specials".
Not sure how many they've got or how long it will last so…
Good luck.

I understand this is a different brand but you can get 3TB Portable for $139.00 full everyday price at Officeworks, or am I missing something here?
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/toshiba-ca…
those toshiba canvios have the usb port soldered onto the hdd which means if the port fails youre screwed. you wont even be able to use the hdd in a laptop. i bought the 2gb version but will probably return it and buy this instead.
So this one doesn't have the usb port soldered? If it fails do you just wire on a new usb port?
I have had a usb port fail on a 3.5 inch portable hdd before, so for $16 more than the toshiba model this might be a good buy.
looks like it doesnt from a quick google search. not 100% sure on that.
if its not soldered, you simply take it apart and place the hdd in your laptop or desktop to recover your data. if yo uwant to use it as a portable drive again, i think you can buy another usb port pcb from ebay as it can simply be replaced.
of course if its still covered by warranty, then they would do this for you.
Personal suggestion: Don't buy from Shopping Express
I bought a WD 3TB HDD which early March and it only last for 2 weeks.
Shopping Express took near 2 weeks to replied and ask me to do the quick format and all will be good. Yes quick format is ok but normal format is not and it hang in 10%. Obviously that HDD is damaged.
When I asked for return to get refund, shopping express ask to return all in original package. Weill any one keep the box after opened? No, the box already recycled. When I asked for return with the box from Post Office, they don't respond at all.
That is a dodgy and irresponsible seller.
Thanks for the feedback, this kind of stuff useful.
Haven't we seen nearly4tb same price lately
