      Yes.
      Kikuyu is frost tolerant. It can handle several mild frosts a season. It may brown off a little if it endures more frequent frosts, but recovers quickly in Spring.
      Being a warm climate variety is also very drought tolerant.

      Gotta say, while Kikuyu isn't as posh as other grasses I've loved the fact on many occasion I can treat it like crap and it comes back no probs. I water maybe once a year. I've had colorbond roofing delivered on it and by the time I've got to it (day or so) the heat of summer under it made a massive part of my grass dead. Roofing moved and a 3 or so days later it's back like there was nothing wrong. It's the lazy mans grass & that works for me (so long as you don't mind mowing twice a month in summer and once a month in winter). I live in Sydney to give climate perspective.

        It's the lazy mans grass

        needs mowing a lot more often than other varieties so I wouldn't call it a lazy man's grass.

        Oops, you are correct. For the same area sowed, you are slightly cheaper. Your 1kg will do 100 square meters, the one at Bunnings would need 1.33 bags, costing $74.51. Throwing in free delivery definitely throws it in you favour. Sorry!

    How long will the seeds last in packaging / does it have an expiry date / when must they be sown by?

    Was hoping to use half on my lawn and the rest as personal backup incase a comet hits Svalbard.

      Seeds should comfortably last 6-12 months is stored in cool and dry conditions.
      In reality, they will actually last longer but germination rates will slowly deteriorate after that.
