I think the deal is still surprisingly good value, although there's usually 1kg buffalo wings or whatever else for about 10-12 bucks from most other fancy hipster american food places.

Well a whole chicken has wings and drumsticks. You cannot expect to receive none of them.
Also if you got the big pieces, then other customers are left with more small pieces.

I rocked up promptly at noon to the local KFC to find two tables full of Asian tradies each with their own $9.95 specials with several more plates on backorder. I was 2nd in the queue at that point and was told a 10 minute wait on the chicken. OzBargain…right?!?!?!

Went to the Gungahlin store at lunchtime. Was told that this offer is not available in the ACT. Instead, I have to buy a 10 nuggets and 10 wings for $10. Have filed a compliant to KFC seeking either a refund or replacement. Would let you guys know the outcome
the complaint will mean nothing cause it is true Canberra is excluded from this offer.

If only you know where the nuggets come from - my children worked there as school kids. You could buy them yourself in gigantic sacks. Or get them from supermart. Wicked Wings I do like.

I went to the drive-thru and was told I had to wait for 45 minutes. I then parked my car and waited inside, only had to wait for 5 minutes.
I saw other walk in customers were told they had to wait ages. The customers all walked off

Unfortunately, most of the cook time's are exaggerated. Like were trained to exaggerate times a bit, say if the chicken would be ready in 10 minutes we would tell the customer 13-16 minutes. But thats just because if you tell a customer a longer wait, they generally will be happier if it's about before then. And again some managers just dont like doing work, so they will tell staff to say really long time

Turned up a bit later this week (12:15pm) and there was an 8 minute wait on the chicken. But while I waited, the wait advice to new customers was being stretched out to 45 minutes!!! This was the Bourke Street store. Fortunately, I got my chicken in the 8 minutes.
I eat half the chicken on the Tuesday and then the other half cold out of the fridge on Wednesday. Determining half was easier this week because they stuffed up and gave me 10 pieces instead of 9. Win!

Just returned 9pieces of chicken brought from the Earlwood KFC (NSW), tasted and smelled burnt, more like burnt plastic or rubber.
On the positive side, staff offered a refund promptly, I guess we were not the first ones complaining.
Like someone said before, quality is extremely inconsistent across their franchises in Australia.
Hope we don't get sick…

anyone experienced any disgustingly horrid chips from certain franchises? taste under-cooked? I've sussed them out, some franchises are run well, others are hopeless, then again they have kids doing everything haha.
