hmm I'll pay the $1 USD basically for EaseUS Partition Master Pro 11.9, Daemon Tools is useful but not a utility I've used at all in the past 10 years or so…

    • +14

Daemon Tools was my go-to drive virtualisation software back in the day. Now it's just built into Windows by default and I haven't seen that name in 5+ years.

      • +1

yes, same here.. I've ''gone legit'' with PC software for many years now, so no need for CD virtualisation software.

        • +3

Well if you have games that still require you to insert a CD to play, it would be useful.

        • +6

@ProjectZero: havent seen one of those in about 10 years as well, apart from on consoles :)

        • @gizmomelb: Yeah I don't have any that I play currently… Does starcraft brood war still need cd? I haven't touch the game in ages… not sure if anything has changed since they have digital copies.

        • +10

ah the good old days of arms race between Securom, Safedisc, Starforce, Tages, Sony rootkits and the heroes on the opposing camp.

        • +2

I'm legit but I still use CD virtualisation. Native Instruments Komplete package comes on about 13 DVD's. I've extracted the DVD's onto my NAS and if I need to ever reinstall them, it's a lot faster to mount the image on the network drive one by one than it is to keep inserting each DVD. Disk images are generally faster than their original optical counterparts.

        • @ProjectZero: haven't needed cds since Steam

        • I've gone legit too, value/steam has single handily saved the world of PC gaming.

    • There's plenty of free options if all you want to do is mount an ISO.

      • Wincdemu is my recommendation for this. Open source and hooks into windows explorer as a contextual option when right clicking image files.

EaseUS Pro is worth the $1.30 alone in my opinion.

  • Yep will buy this for easeus partition master. Been my Goto partition tool for the last 5+ years or so

    • +1

How were you using it before if you have to buy it now?

      • +1

This is just the pro version, i have been using the free one for years. Has a few extra features that I could have used a while ago, but had to download other programs and do things manually to do it.

  • +1

+1 EaseUs Partition. Back when my hdd randomly loses partition, EaseUS alwayd worked compared to other software used.

  • Dashlane Premium is $USD40 a year by itself so for USD$12 it's definitely worth it.

    • But only for new users :(

    • How does it compare to LastPass? I think I got LastPass from a different Bundle, Highly recommend to anyone to get some sort of Password Manager.
Thinking of getting this purely to try it out once my subscription expires with Lastpass, Though I have no idea how easy it will be to export my password Database to another system

Surprised I didn't see a copy of WinZip in there :)

    • They would have to add a $20+ tier.

    • +1

      Winrar! (Seriously who buys Winrar)

      • +11

Just use 7-zip, it's a great program, lots of features, very simple to use, and completely free and open source (you can even use it in closed source project without royalty).

WinRAR/WinZip, they make their money by being lenient to home users but they will use legal threats to get big companies that roll it out without paying to buy big license deals.

I rather stay away from "It's not right but they probably won't do anything" if I can help it.

        • +5

This. I can't understand why anyone would use anything but 7-zip. Quite literally haven't used WinZip or WinRAR for more than a decade.

        • Winrar has the best user interface of an archival program I have used, but, except for wav files, it cannot compress as well as 7zip LZMA as max settings. I use Freearc for large archival jobs, it uses a modified LZMA algorithm and can use much larger dictionary sizes. Nanozip on the second highest setting produces about 4% more compression than 7zip's LZMA, but it is about 50% slower.

Are these any good? Cant find the reviews on ign

    Airparrot is cheap…

  • +1

Most likely the Free version of EaseUS already have all the functions you ever need, and it is those software you will never run it again after it did the job.

    • Really? Never ever again?

  • +2

Dashlane appears functionally pretty similar to LastPass. Can anyone compare the two?

    • +1

Doesn't seem that different, but lastpass as a product is pretty well respected, and imo that's preferred when you storing all your passwords with them.

    • Trust me, stick with lastpass.

  • +3

Daemon Tools - oh man that brings back so many memories.

    • The good ol' days before Steam… and Steam backlog.

  • Bought one. Thank you OP.

    "System Mechanic" Sounds like junkware?

Paypal charged me AU$1.37 for $1 package. Good deal though. Thanks

    • +6

      Prices are in USD.

  • +2

+1 for EaseUS. My go-to program for disk cloning. Highly recommended even for beginners. And given that I'm buying a new SSD every month or two, this program is well worth the minimum.

    • Every month or two? Flip what you doing to it?

Or just upgrading / on selling?

  • No WinRAR? damn

  • Anyone having problems paying with Amex via Paypal?

    • No, I used ANZ AMEX Card

    • I have successfully used American Express Essential Credit Card via Paypal at the time of purchase above.

  • Via Paypal?

  • I'm having problems with the AirParrot key - keeps showing message "invalid code" when trying to redeem it.

    • Make sure you use the key you got at the very last page of the Checkout process - not the one on the Humble Bundle page.

      • Definitely using the key allocated to me after checkout - it's the one that shows after I click the "Redeem" button. I've sent a message to the AirParrot company to sort out what's happening.

  • Thanks OP, was going to buy AirParrot 2 soon. Such a good deal for Windows and Mac to do AirPlay better.

  • Who would want to pay money for this?
