  • 2x AA batteries would almost make it heavier than my desktop mouse!

  • Nothing special, it's a bargain for an extremely overpriced basic bluetooth mouse, price gone up because it's made by razer, but does nothing different to other mouses.

  • This has been out for three years now.

The Logitech V550 is a better buy (has laser, frictionless scrollwheel and a very small nano dongle)

$35 from Topbuy, or $25 if you've still haven't used that voucher from the previous topbuy deal.

Or for those who prefer Bluetooth can go for the V470 instead for $29. ($19 after voucher)

Doesnt come with a bluetooth dongle..

System requirements: Bluetooth enabled PC or Mac

    • thats because bluetooth connects directly to ur computer's internal bluetooth. thats the whole point and advantage of using bt over wireless mice. no messy wires + no wasted usb port. if u dont have bluetooth, u need to get a new computer or buy a $1 dongle from dealextreme. or just use the wifi ones (wifi is a faster connection thats why no gaming mice are ever bluetooth, however, bluetooth has no dongle u can easily lose)

Lol, two negative votes for merely saying it doesn't come with a dongle..
It's not as though i negged the deal, as you can see…

I'm well aware of the advantages of blue-tooth, but every blue-tooth mouse/keyboard I've bought has so far come with a dongle, got a few dongles sitting in a drawer wasting away.
The only exception I've seen apart from this mouse has been the ipad keyboard :)

Was merely pointing it out that this particular mouse for some reason or another does not come with a dongle; for those ozbargain users who are not particularly computer literate, so they don't buy it then find they need to go and buy something else on top of it.
After all, most laptops/netbooks come with blue-tooth, but how many people have blue-tooth enabled desktops without having to use a dongle?? :)

Quite strange that it doesn't have a dongle, particularly as it's a "premium" brand…

The proclick mobile range is actually for laptops. I doubt anyone using desktops would want to use such a tiny mouse over long periods of time.

not sure where did you get your idea that bluetooth mice have to come with dongles, even logitech bluetooth mice doesn't come with one.

          under systems requirements.

          • @slowmo: Again, just stating that it doesn't include a dongle, for those users who may buy it and find that it's not compatible with their computer, and then have to go out and buy a dongle.

Perhaps I'm behind the times in not buying a blue-tooth mouse in the last six months or so, perhaps things have changed and every laptop and or desktop that people use nowadays, new or old, has built in blue-tooth ;)

Myself, I use a wireless setup, except for when my 3 year old plugs in the dongle for his logitech blue-tooth mouse for when he plays his games on my computer, it's perfect for his little hands… :)

            • @kingmalgoo: you have a point. i've noticed most logi kb's have dongles but i guess the use of this mouse was presumed to be used for modern laptops only based on its size. thanks good warning overall, some people might get hasty and buy it for their PC or older laptops and be dissapointed. bluetooth has been getting popular over the last few years but lots of not-so-new laptops (even with decent specs) don't have bluetooth.
