Toolpro 3T Low Profile Car Jack $199.95 (Regular Price $338) @ Supercheap Auto

160

Have been looking for a low profile jack that has a decent lifting range.
Currently 40% at sca (don't think it has ever been lower having a look on ozbargain) + free shipping today only

-This one lifts from 95-550mm
-1250mm handle length knurled and padded grip
-Rubber and rotatable mounting point

I have been looking at the arcan jack at Costco which is about the same price $175 (I bought sca gift cards for 15% off on a previous deal) but the Costco ones only jack to 520mm and are rated two tonne. I think the build quality is about the same as well
Only con is that there's no handle to carry the jack and I don't think it comes with a service kit so you can't replace seals and stuff
Also not sure what the release valve is like, some jacks drop the car jerkily, you'd expect it to go down smoothly for the price your paying for this but Let me know what you guys think especially those that already own one

  • anyone own this jack ?

is it a solid build ?

can anyone give a review ?

  • Iv got the kincrome jack that looks exactly the same and I can vouch that it's is a good jack. Good for lifting my lowered clubsport and works well lifting my y62 Patrol as well .
    Good all round jack +1

    • When you want to drop the car does it go down smoothly?

    • Nice couple of cars mate! Been thinking about a Y62 for a while now….

      • We've got 4 kids and havnt looked back after trading the y61 to in for the y62 til and because no one wanted them picked it up for a great deal a couple years ago.

        • I do remember a few years back they had an oversupply and were selling them off for around $55k. Would've been a great buy!

  • Yeah the control is smooth the only complaint is that it would be handy if it had a foot pedal the raise the jack up to the lift position befor requiring you to use the handle .
I believe I paid about the same for the kincrome version a couple of years ago from super cheap

I bought the 1600kg version and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Build looks/feels descent and the low profile is very handy for low vehicles. Only downside to mine vs this is that mine only has a Max height of 375mm and this is 550mm.
Still, not worth paying twice as much if you don't really need the 3tonne lifting capacity. The 1600kg is on sale too for under $100.

I have this jack. Works great lifting a 4wd. It has a nice large base and doesn't feel like it's struggling to lift the car or like it is going to tip over like some smaller 2t jacks i've used. You twist the handle to lower the car and if you are careful when you loosen it to only release it a little bit you can lower it quite slowly. If it's really tight sometimes you twist too far suddenly and it drops a bit fast initially but you can quickly tighten it again and loosen it slowly. I've never had the car come close to hitting the ground hard.

Also, the lack of handle doesn't really matter. It is a really big heavy jack so you wouldn't be carrying it one handed anyway.

Just compared the two jacks they look close to the same just a couple of little differences . Lift height and capacity are the same. Might be some quality differences.
Sorry can't really speak for the tool pro jack

I had a toolpro 1800kg that shat it self 14 months after purchase. Repco didnt want a bar of it, resulted in some choice words from me.
Bought the Kingchrome 3,000kg and have not looked back. Its odd that the price has gone up at SCA I paid $298. Its heavy 45+kg but really and I have no fear putting stands under a car that I have lifted.

      • Yeah noticed that to that since they have listed the tool pro jack the kincrome jack went 100-150

Yep that is as low as I've ever seen for a 3000kg, and just ten days too late for me, as I bought a very similar 2500kg from Ebay after looking for months…
There are a lot of jacks of this design around, most probably just rebadged from the same source. The weight does get higher as the capacity increases. My 2.5Ton is 35kg !

Two other comments. This one comes with a rubber jack pad on the plate, which many don't. This one says it's lowest high is 95mm, my 2500kg variant is 75mm (I measured it), and that makes some difference on a lowered sports car.

Damn, I really need a new jack. My old Chinese copy jack just shat itself after 15 years.
Had my eye on this when I saw it in the catalogue. But after having a quick search on ebay I'm in three minds!

In reply to the above post "that is as low as I've ever seen for a 3000kg"

    Super low profile

    Minimum height: 70mm
    Maximum height: 490mm

70mm Vs 95mm can be a big difference on lowered cars. Obviously you sacrifice some lift height.

I also like the look of this one though-

A bit more expensive (about 30% more). But it is a lot lighter. 24kg Vs 44kg.

I dont know what I want now!

the ebay ones doesn't say it meets asm standards

and the other bad thing about buying from ebay is the warranty issues

  • Just bought one and I asked the guy about kinchrome and toolpro and he reckons it is just rebranded as they all come from the same factory

    • +1

sounds like his talking bs to me, might be same factory but not same quality

      • we need Goutee in here to give his armchair expert opinion

    Does this even lift, bro?

  • I'm using the Arcan jack from Costco for a while now. I think the Aluminum body is a winner for it. Relatively light weight than the steel body ones. The jack also lowers the vehicle gradually upon release.

    • I went and looked at those too. The main difference that matters on all these low profile jacks is the lowered height. Some are lower than the Arcan at similar price. The Arcan is one of the lightest though for the lift capacity. In my case the lowered height was the prime determining factor.

I bought this a few days ago and it has been great so far, lifts my 1800kg Clubby with ease and it is has great control and can drop the car back down smoothly and slowly. Thanks for posting OP as it is a great price!
