Looking to buy a used car. Have spent hours online but not found the right car yet. So far i have been on carsales.com.au, gumtree and eBay. Looking to buy from a dealer, not private.
Any recommendations?

You want something exactly to your standards? Buy a new car
You want the best of a bunch? Keep searching the used cars
If you're looking from a dealer, I'd say carsales.com.au is your only choice to search all in one place.
Have you tried googling local dealers and then looking at their website
What about a brokering service? There are quite a few these days
If you're a Union member you can call or log in to unionshopper.com.au and give them the details of what you're looking for and what you want to pay and they'll find it for you - even deliver it if necessary
Where is a broker gonna look besides Carsales/Gumtree…?
You think they're calling each individual dealer…? Hell no!
Do you go out of your way to question every suggestion anyone makes?
Next time, think to yourself - maybe it was just a suggestion - you know - trying to help someone for no personal gain or motivation
Ask yourself - am I trying to help? Or simply keep your criticism to yourself
Sometimes, being more right than another person - or at least thinking you are - just isn't enough
Brokers charge for their services
So just for looking in the same sources you would, they charge. They also charge a finders fee if you buy the car through them.
If you're happy throwing money away then go ahead, use a broker. Those with some form of intelligence don't need to use one.
Hence my suggestion not to use a broker.
Account has since been deleted, but the reason for taking offence to my comment is he works for the union
Lol…
What do you have in mind?
Might as well tell us which car, someone may have spotted it.
Carpoint.com.au. Yes they're still around.
If you Google Carpoint you will find that Carsales owns it
Don't forget Gumtree for the real bargains, lol.
But nothing beats the thrill of winning an auction on eBay so you get a chance to spend up big on a clapped out wreck with a raft of non-obvious problems…
Why not be adventurous? All the others are a rip-off!
Use Carsguide instead of Carsales. Carsguide shows you the dealer unlike Carsales which makes you have to give your personal details to be emailed the dealers details.
Scroll down to the very bottom of the listing page on Carsales…
Giving just their phone number isn't good enough when a competitor gives the dealers name and address
Edit: I now see the tiny writing at the bottom. Ridiculous
Ozcar? I believe it used to be called Australian Fleet Sales.
What are you trying to find that is so impossible to find?
