I have the hoselink 30m hose from the boxing day sale, and was checking out their gardening products. Until Feb 10 there's 20% off hand tools and gardening things that you never knew you needed. I just bought a "weeder"… even though years of using my hands to pull out weeds has been effective, maybe I've been doing it wrong my whole life? Will let u all know.

Kudos to Hoselink for their returns policy. Wanted to return an item that I decided I didn't need. They offered either a refund or I could keep the item and they would put a credit to my account for the full purchase price to use for future purchases.
+1. They sent me the wrong item once. Resent a replacement and let me keep the incorrectly shipped item.
Yep had a return for a fault on a piece one time, they just asked for details over phone and shipped it straight out. No need to send them videos of it and send it back etc (i'd already made the video…).
Customer service was great.
Had the 30m reel for a few years now and only problem so far is the trigger nozzle has started to dribble a bit (it has been banged round a bit to be fair) and the hose connection between reel and tap has yellowed from being in sun.
the trigger nozzle is quite easy to service. If the trigger is stuck just take the metal end off with a wrench and pump it full of plumbers lubricant (or their included oil). Also if it starts leaking at the swivel end there is a washer inside that can be changed.
…and gardening things that you never knew you needed.
Yeah, like this. Who would of thought you needed one of these? Or that such a thing existed.
I like it, but I don't see myself buying it.
They're actually really useful if you have a large garden and don't want to take out small trees / snap branches as you go. I'm considering them in a couple of spots in the yard, but I question whether the stakes will stay in the ground.
I wouldn't have them set up like in the promotional photos on a lawn that's just stupid. I'd have them along my paths.
Wow. And 34 people have left 4 or 5 star reviews on this product alone. Go figure!
I've got standard fittings which I wouldn't mind replacing with something like this

Anyone with these care to comment if they are worth it?
I got this one https://www.hoselink.com.au/buy/premium-ned-kelly-starter-ki… and https://www.hoselink.com.au/buy/hose-joiner-set/2410 back in 2012 -still going strong. Highly recommended.
Thanks. Ordered a set.
Note that it's somewhat hard to regulate water flow with that particular spray gun's trigger. They've apparently introduced a new 'flow control' connector to address that, though they really ought to start bundling it like they did with the swivel connector.
2588 5 star reviews can't be wrong…
Dammit.. -takes out credit card-
Hoselink is leaps and bounds better than anything you get from bunnings.
EDIT Just got an email saying 20% so which is it?
I got a similar email for 20% off.
Sorry! It was 20% off. I've updated the title. Thanks!
Interesting you say it's leaps and bounds better than Bunnings (i.e. Pope and Holman)
My parents have a couple of auto-retract hose reels that look identical to the Hoselink ones (but the name has faded off so I don't know what brand they actually are). The plastic housing obviously doesn't have good UV resistance, since it has rotted over a few years. This is borne out by Hoselink offering covers to protect the casing - for an extra $30 to make up for them choosing the wrong cheap plastic ?
Plus the back-and-forth mechanism is broken on one, making it useless.
I will try to confirm exactly what brand they have (next time I'm over there), but I'm interested in hearing from anyone that's owned a hoselink auto retract reel for 3+ years, to comment on durability, of both the mechanism and the casing.
I'm happy to pay for quality
I went through two cheap and nasty reels (I think one was pope and the other was holman actually) and I've had my first hoselink hosereel for 9 months now and it's still as-new. Bought my second one in the boxing day sale, so now I guess they will wear and tear at half the rate.
thanks. As new after 9 months is a good start.
OP needs to update title. 25% would have been really good, might not buy anything now.
Nice website, the kind that makes you want to buy because it feels so friendly.
