XiaoMi Hybrid Pro HD (latest model) - $33.66 AUD ($24.99 USD) @ Gearbest

120

Been a while since the last XiaoMi headphone deal, and I don't think there have been any deals posted here for the latest model - the Hybrid Pro HD (I believe the Hybrid IV is also known as the Hybrid Pro without the HD moniker - either way these look different). Due to having 2+1 drivers in each ear, the cost is higher than the previous model which are only 1+1 drivers, and being so new, it's rare to see them on sale.

This price is 21% off - do not attempt top use any of the CNY codes as they are all lower than the 21% already applied and the price will actually go up. If you already tried it, you'll have to remove it from your cart and add it again to get the lower price.

Proceed to the comments for the usual arguments: "The Piston 3 are still better"; and "These are not worth any extra cost over the Hybrid IV as they sound the same".

Note that for an extra 0.88c you can cut delivery time to 7-14 days instead of the usual 4 weeks. But that's after they actually ship it… And the warehouse is closed until Feb 2 (and they will likely have a backlog of order for a few days).

Same price at Zapals and 8% CashRewards cashback as well:

    https://www.zapals.com/original-xiaomi-mi-pro-hd-in-ear-head…

    • are the ones from Zapals known to be genuine and not fakes? (sorry, haven't kept up on all these xiaomi earphones, but wary of fakes!)

Good price would buy one if I didn't already have one current pair of the Hybrid IV's and a backup pair already from the last deal!

    • The sound signature of these is quite different.

  • +1

Can anyone recommend ones that are in-ear bluetooth, budget around the same price.

I have some Meizu EP51 which sound awesome once they seal correctly. The tips are a bit weird though as they are not standard coupling, so I suspect you wont be able to easily add other tips.

      • +1

How is the battery life of the EP51? And are they bulky (stick out quite a bit?) Am considering of getting a pair.

        • +1

I havent really used them for more than an hour at a time, so cant really comment. I only use them when exercising (lol, maybe I need to get fitter to fully test them)

    • No.

I have a Bluedio TE - which is OK, but the volume doesn't go down low enough, and lately it's been dropping out. I've also got their Bluedio M2 Sports, which doesn't come with an earpiece that fits me properly, and doesn't take standard earpieces.

I'm pretty happy with with my XiaoMi earbuds, though.

    • Agree with meizu. Even Cheaper Alternative is qcy qy7 original. Only difference is the bass is weaker by around 30%.

      I have both.

    • Here is the Original Meizu EP-51 Bluetooth HiFi Music Sport In-ear Earbuds, about $au40
      http://www.gearbest.com/sports-fitness-headphones/pp_356162.…

      These are ok?

      • Actually the MIFO U2 Bluetooth Noise-canceling Sport Earbuds has double battery mah. Might be better.

      • Yes those are the ones I have. Have seen them around low 30's on sale though

        • I ended up buying the MIFO U2 Bluetooth Noise-canceling, au$30.50 del.

Last count I have 5 pairs of various Xiaomi earphones, with two packs unopened. I need to stop this habit, LOL.

I've only just started my addiction with xiaomi headphones (alright earphones)… they are pretty awesome for the price.

Sounds like you need to create a filter for all deals with Xiaomi and earphones in it hah!

      • I'm keen to pick up a pair of xiaomis, I'm currently using the M Duo set I got from an ozb deal years ago for about $45.
Which pair is considered the best in the xiaomi range? In regards to sound quality, tight bass etc

        • Best as in Quality of sound or best as in quality sound and build for your dollar? I don't think Xiaomi does really expensive models but if you considered best newest these Hybrid Pro HD's are the newest models. Allegedly they have a little less bass I if I remember correctly but I haven't tested them. The Hybrid Pro's Also know as Hybrid IV is the last model which I have and really like. They were also considered to have less bass than the Piston V3's but I think they are fine but I only listen to podcasts on them anyway. All I can say is so far I'm impressed with the quality of the components and sound for what I payed $20-$25.
I know I wouldn't get anywhere near this component or sound quality at JB or elsewhere.

        • @Scaregdearimasu:
The piston 3's actually have the most neutral sound signature with the least bass emphasis, which I prefer over the hybrid IV.

IMO, the hyrids (not these - pro) are the best bang for buck. These are also refered to as the 4's.

        • @Scaregdearimasu:

Cheers, I might check em out.

Any good value alternatives in a higher price bracket? Mainly listening to EDM & hip hop whilst commuting on PT.

        • @G Wok: Depends how high. I doubt anything can match what Xiaomi makes at under $100.

        • @lostn:

wow that's pretty impressive. yeah i was thinking in the $100 bracket but no rush so in that bracket but at a sale price

    • Wanna sell a pair to me?

      • Lol, thanks but I have every other version except the hybrid pro, these make the best last minute gifts, not to mention when the various earpods in the house wear out.
In the last week the meizu gave up the ghost and some apple eaphones stopped working, so the extras always come in handy.
I'll still buy one or two more from the next deal.

  • Got a pair from last deal and they are fantastic

Power bank new 10000 mAh also on special.
    USD16.79

Please note that due to Chinese new year it will have delay.

    • Power bank 2 in silver and black…

    • It's not letting me ship to Australia, is this the same for everyone else?

      • Is it we cannot buy powerbank from overseas anymore?

  • I currently have "Hybrid Dual Drivers Earphones Mi IV" from a previous deal, does anyone know how these compare? I'm looking for a second pair in case these die on me, but I find I'm lost with Xiaomi's model system so no idea.

    • These are more clinical, less bass (too little for me), harder to drive (need more level from source).
They offer a flatter frequency response, I've learned over time that this is not the sound I enjoy…

    • The inline remote is a lot better. Buttons are separated so you won't accidentally hang up on someone while trying to adjust the volume.

  • Just got mine today, took 10 days and I loved the unboxing experience. Currently listening to music with them and high's are very bright, mids are decent and lows/bass is present but not too forward. Love the clarity so far.

    • Wow, I got mine weeks ago. I agree the clarity is amazing but I feel the piston 3 has a better profile.
