  • Thanks op. Got an order in earlier during lunch break when this was posted :)

Ok, order cancelled from price error.

I doubt it was a real price error considering it was the same price on their eBay store.

But yay for $20 voucher! :) Pretty good of Kogan to do that compared to just flat out cancelling with a lame "sorry but not sorry" attitude like most other big retailers.

  • Price error. Order cancelled.

(Not that it matters now that it's sold out :p)

  • Order cancelled. Pricing error stated

  • Pricing ERROR :(

    • You posted your $20 voucher for someone to use…

      • Fixed :)

    • I would delete that code in case it can be used by someone else

  • Oh, my order was cancelled via email, as a pricing error.

  • Pricing error. Beyatchez cancelled my order.

    Not happy Kogan!

  • Hmmm… Once payment accepted, isn't that the end of any out clauses in a contract, or am I mistaken…?

    • You are mistaken unfortunately…

    • Nup, once goods are taken.

    • LOL

  • Does Kogan cancel eBay orders in situations like this?

  • Shuzbut!

  • It is my understanding that Kogan offered to sell the unit at $25. We accepted the offer by purchasing the unit and made payment as consideration.

Does anyone know if we can go to the ACCC to enforce this sale?

I am pretty tired of 'pricing errors' that retailers claim, especially when it's on a bloody steam cleaner and not some expensive consumer electronics.

    • Lol no.

      • +1

        Care to elaborate?

        • It's as simple as stating that any transaction can be reveresed whenever Kogan feels like it in their T&C's.

There was a case of a website that didn't do this relating to some custom diamond engagement ring and the customer won, but the business ended up having to go bankrupt because it couldn't sustain the loss with their custom order business arrangement only allowing for a niche market.

  • Bummer. Although i used the $20 code for the handheld steamer, bringing the price of that down to $31.

I was really looking forward to having a steamer

Any good purchase worth $20 on Kogan?

  • I'm presuming they're out of stock and cancelled the orders they couldn't fulfill… as it's still out of stock. And the eBay store was selling it after it went out of stock online.

So instead of clearing out 1000+ steam cleaners and sustaining a moderate loss (and let's be honest, the RRP might be $96 but the production cost around a third) but gaining some excellent PR, not to mention countless referrals + new customers, they cancel all of the orders, keep the product (which would hardly have been flying off the shelves at $96) and piss off a huge number of people.

    • Gerry Harvey approves this message.

  • Order Cancelled.
Numerous Kogan shifty purchase offers and then BANG we are told 'pricing error'.
    Love your work Ruslan.

  • Order cancelled here as well. At least got a 20$ voucher.

  • Wow… wonder what they gonna do with eBay orders…

    • +1

      That's what I'm wondering too…

Seems odd they had a pricing error on their own site as well as a similar pricing error on their eBay listing (two different prices)..

      Two very coincidental mistakes..

Just got off the live chat with Kogan, apparently they've offered people that they will honour the $25 price? http://i.imgur.com/m9OU481.png

    • what did you say to them?

      • Something along the lines of the ACCC, which I guess may have rang alarm bells in their head. They told me it was being escalated to a supervisor but I doubt they will do anything.

        • +1

yeah just got off chat as well, apparently being raised with senior team and i will be notifed via email

same rubbish, doubt anything would come of that

        • @lemoo:
Same here, said a senior advisor will email me.

        • @js1987: Got a follow-up email that phrased the same thing the original email said, telling me they won't honour the deal. Sigh …

        • @P1xellat3d: tell them why they are honoring the ebay deal then.

        • @msmhw: I actually asked. They replied "… Unfortunately we were not able to proceed with your order as per our website terms and apologise for the inconvenience caused." I think it's because they don't show their terms on ebay.

Edit: Seriously though, this wifi range extender (and wireless bridge with ethernet?) looks half decent for $9 delivered:

  • Order cancelled :(

  • Anyone had their eBay order cancelled yet?

    • nope - no notice yet

    • No, seems to be sitting in limbo though

    • Maybe they are afraid from the negative feedback. It over 200 units sold in eBay.

    • my ebay order still there no cancellation.

    • My ebay order is being shipped now!

Ordered 2 and cancelled, got $40 credits ;)

  • +2

So does the referral credit get re-credited for next purchase as well?

  • yea bugger, order cancelled here as well. got a refund and a $20 voucher. Bastards!

  • +1

Wish someone negs the deal (I can't as I upvoted and then revoked subsequently due to order cancellation).

Let the neg be on Kogan (Not on OP). Ppl Shd know what Kogan did on this instance. Even when they search 2 years later for Kogan.

  • eBay deal still available with no change of price :O

    • I can't find it on there?

    • But says out of stock..

Hahaha some of the reviews. Some people don't seem to understand the concept…. LOL

I have not tried it yet but what i have seen in the box looks good

Only used it for 5 minutes, all good so far.

I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but seems to be well produced

Very sturdy, but, I haven't used it yet. It has been raining

Have not used it yet, but it looks sturdy enough to do the cleaning required.

    haven't yet tried it

My ebay order says order has been shipped.

  • Steam mops are great when they work. Got someone coming over? Quick sweep and a steam mop dries in a few moments

  • Did anyone get Paypal refund as yet for a purchase made directly from website?

    • Not yet

      • Not yet either

    • I still don't have the refund although it's well past the claimed 'up to 5 business days'. Anyone else?

  • My website order got cancelled. Received the $20 voucher from Kogan, which I combined with another $10 referral bonus to make another purchase — so effectively came out of it up $30. Still waiting for paypal refund on original order though.
