Was walking past on Bourke Street in Melbourne and saw the signs.
Closing sale so all books are $6. They did'nt tell me when this would end.

Sounds a bit like the dodgy tourist trap on the corner of George and Hunter streets in Sydney. They've been 'closing down prices' on their recorded PA system for years.
Sales tactic. No deal
Some of the books are a bargain at $6
I saw one book worth buying, a cookbook by-ish Maggie Beer.
They have multiple stores, all saying $6, since at least October last year.
yeah, nah, as others have said… they are closing down from the day they opened :(
i read a lot of books but have rarely found anything worth buying in there.
Found 2 Dan Brown books in mine!
Most likely they are Don Brown.
And 'Rarnaby Budge' by Charles Dikkens. That's Dikkens with two Ks, the well-known Dutch author.
Are you just jelly that no one has mentioned they're looking for/found Jules Verne?
managed to cop the Malay Archipelago by Alfred Wallace, thought that was a good read.
One on Elizabeth street too, been there since September 'Closing down' it's nonsense.
I thought the name of the store was "Closing Down Sale".
On another note, can you imagine living with that recorded yelling man in all the discount stores.
There is a shop called 40% off at my local shopping center.
lol
Reminds me of one of those clothing stores called "Final Days".
The one on Elizabeth has quite a few good cook books
There's one in Lilydale that did this a few months back, had a look out of curiosity, whether it's a scam or not (it almost certainly is) I still got a couple of the new Star Wars books, for 6 bucks a pop, one of them had an RRP of 36.99, so I'm okay with that shit.
Did you compare on booko? :P
The one on Elizabeth Street had all books at $10 until just recently when they were reduced to $6. Lots of good cook books and biographies in there.
Just another pop-up shop with a fake closing down sale.
Thanks OP! I went here last year with the kids and books were sold at $10. At $6 we'll definitely give them a visit again. Regardless if it's a fake closing down sale, it's nice to go into a physical bookstore and actually able to buy something knowing we don't spend too much.
Haha true I know that feeling which explains the 6 books I got last night…
Woah….Some of the book were nice guys…For example I snagged a few Star Wars graphic novels and for $6 a pop, I felt they were a bargain.
There are definitely some good books in there so I might return again to snag more graphic novels and books.
They were "closing down" the day they opened, which was recently (December 2016). Just another dodgy retailer who tries to suck you into the "closing down" trap.
