This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

        No worries. I have more stuff coded that wasn't released (yet), like topping up your card balance and I'm sure if I had a spare/another Sim card I could get the registration to work too and even making scannable barcodes would be easy.

        But I haven't made anything from anything I've released (not that I necessarily need or want to) but it's interesting that there's been 50000 API hits over the past month, whether that's locking in fuel or moving the map etc.

      Very nice bit of code. Just setup a second 7-Eleven account on a separate device (different email/mobile number/debit card) and tested successfully. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.

      Have to say I'm totally against this - 7-11 already know we're doing things a bit dodgy here, but seem to be happy to overlook it as long as it has some complexity (what I mean is they've actively blocked easy GPS hacks, etc).

      Making it too easy (and therefore more widespread) has a high chance of making them either work to block all GPS hacks by monitoring locations, looking for too-quick interstate movements, or just simply shut it down all together.

        I agree and I don't see what's so hard about locking it in yourself. As it is we're treading a fine line with the automated price lists and people miraculously travelling across the country to lock in those prices.

        I didn't know if there's a cheaper price, and I had locked in 132.9c when I filled in.

        Besides, I filled in about 70 litres, so it's more than $0.03. :-)

      Unless your car requires U98, you're better off locking in U95 for 112.9 at Hampton Park Vic 3976
      You are not going to get 20% fuel efficiency gains going from U95 to U98 :)

          ^^This^^. I locked in 95 once and had to drive over 20 kms to find the nearest 7-11 that had 95. Probably wasted more in fuel than I saved :(

      Looks like I joined the fuel cost savings party a tad late. Been using has buddy for past 6 months since we relocated to Melbourne from Tassie. Can someone please let me know how to use these 7 11 vouchers. I assume I need to get the app from play store. Sorry if this has been answered above. I did see there are around 57 pages to read here.

        TLDR - A browser based method of locking prices so you don't need a modified APK on your phone or an Android emulator on your computer.

    Anyone having troubles with locking the price in using the web browser version. It keep stating I've exceeded the limit within 24 hours duration. I've not locked in for past 7 days.
