Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

    • Should work fine. Try Genymotion.

A bit late, but i recently started doing this and wanted to see if anyone has mentioned the use of emulators.

If you use nox emulator on PC, there's a tab on the side which is inbuilt into the emulator and allows you to set the location. Which completely eliminates the need of a dedicated app to spoof your location. I've done it a few times and have had no issues so far.

  • Im having issue with 'locking' the price, I am using fake gps, it works and chooses the station but when i enter the amount in liters and press on lock it just returns me to the main page.

Anyone know why or how to fix?

    • weird, haven't had that issue on my phone
have u tried deleting and re-installing the program?

      • Yea, restarted my phone and re-installed 7/11 app, still same problem.

        • Do you get the same problem when you try to lock a price normally (without using the GPs locking)?

    • +1

It happens when you have selected fuel from (spoof) location A and by the time you press lock in for X amount of fuel the GPS has returned you to (real) location B, this makes the app block you from lockinf in for a unspecific anount of time (i just use it the next day).

    • Awesome thanks! Had a look at the bit.do site but completely overlooked u91 haha

    • Regret if filling up yesterday

    • This price is no longer working despite it showing on the excel sheet. I think there might be a glitch in the code somewhere.

  • what is the best price for Supreme 98+??? anyone? Thanks

  • Noob question everyone, is there an option to fill in by litres? I just locked in 30litres worth of fuel but don't want to turn up at 711 not knowing how to do it..sorry.

    • +2

watch the pump while you fill up

      • oh,,is that the only way to do it? i thought you can preset it or is that for a $ amount only?

        • if you want to preset you need to work it out.

check the price on the board, multiply that by 30 and set that as the preset amount.

Show your voucher when paying and you get the discounted figure for your 30 litres

        • @steff: what happens if i go over 30 litres? will ijust pay the difference on the normal price on their board?

        • +1

@angelkulit025: Yep. The voucher applies only to the volume you set when you locked in. Anything more gets charged at the price of that servo at the time.

        • @steff: what about unused credit? for example, your tank is already full but you haven't reached the locked in litres on the voucher?

        • @angelkulit025: Doesn't matter. You only pay for the litres used.

        • @steff: so the voucher is re-usable until all credit is exhausted?

        • @angelkulit025: No, voucher is one time use.

        • @pyramid: which voucher and where is it? sorry guys using this for the first time

        • +1

@coolhead: the app generates a voucher when you lock in

        • -1

@steff: Ahh ok.. and is there a way to find the prices in another location. Like I am at work now but want to look up the prices in my home area.
But its simply picking my location and giving me prices. not allowing me to move the map

        • +5

@coolhead: that's literally what this thread is about. read it

        • @steff: yeap.. alright.. Ta

        • @pyramid: so it doesn't make sense, Steff said you only pay for the litres used but you said voucher is one time use. So what will happen if you don't use the entire litres allocated on the voucher?

        • +1

@angelkulit025: The voucher is forfeited. If you're using the 7-Eleven Digital Gift Card to pay for your fuel then there will be a balance left over to use next time.

        • +1

@sween64: Got ya! so that what Steff means. Thanks!

        • @angelkulit025: there are two things.
Voucher (when you lockup for fuel, it generates voucher like discount which can be used once only)
Credit amount (when you topup and have actual balance in the app. It does not expire nor forfeited ).

After filling up and using the one time voucher, you can either pay for the fuel using your app credit amount or using a bank card or cash.

        • @Oz Bargain 3: hey mate- thank. I used it for the first time yesterday and that might explain why i have 2 transactions on my card.. a $60 giftcard and a $40 which i paid for fuel..
now since i paid for the fuel from my credit card does that mean I have pre-paid 7/11 $60 and now i have to use them whenever i get a chance? or do i get them back after a few days/ a week which is the lock in period..

        • @coolhead: you should've used the $60 you have loaded to your 7 11 card. Anyway, it will be sitting there for next time you fill in or buy something from the store.

        • @angelkulit025: ok cool.. thanks..

        • @coolhead:I've got $70 loaded on the app so I can always price lock in about 60 litres, but i always pay with my credit card so i don't have to keep topping up the funds on the app.

        • +2

@T1:that's one good trick to do it. Saves time topping up and you can quickly lock in the price.. Thanks, I'll do that as well.

        • +3

@coolhead: no worries mate. Best to leave balance in your 7 Eleven app as it would make much easier for locking price next time. I have never use my app credit and always pay by card or cash; less hassle for topping up/locking next time.

        • +1

@Oz Bargain 3: Remember to use it at least once every 12 months or you will lose it.
