Have a meal or two, go and do some shopping. Go for a walk around the terminal…7.5hrs is nothing for a true ozbargainer - it's $268!
The return flight has a long stopover. But if you take a closer look, the flight (at least the one I booked) arrives at Guangzhou in the wee hours, and leaves for Sydney at around 8AM. So it's not too bad to have a bit sleep before a long flight. Don't quote me but very likely they'll put you up in a hotel close to the airport. They did last time I flew with them on the outgoing trip. A fun fact, I just booked my return flights with Tigerair from Sydney to Brisbane, it knocked me back about 130 dollars, no meal, no luggage, no nothing, not even around the Australia Day weekend.

Peking is an old romanisation, similar to Peiking as it would be written in Wade-Giles romanisation for 北京, however, using the now official Hanyu Pinyin method for romanisation it is spelt Beijing.
The same can be seen with Taipei (台北), Taiwan. Under Hanyu Pinyin romanisation it is Taibei. However, while China now officially uses Hanyu Pinyin, Taiwan has a mix of several systems in use.
Chinese aren't saying Beijing differently, just methods on how to romanise it have changed.
Don't forget the new Trump-nunciation - the US style of Chin-glish.

How do I keep the page in the same format your search results are, the moment I change the dates and hit search it changes it into a format where it no longer lists the dates for cheaper flights across all the days, but for the only day I've searched. I'm pretty open to move a day or 2 if it's much cheaper but I can't see those dates unless I search each and every single day.

Flew china southern once…never again. Food was terrible, fellow travellers were disgusting and the plane was old and shitty.
