Screw this old deal! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/282061 this is cheaper and has more pieces! Only downside is you still need to drive to take advantage of this. +1

Plus the holder would be better.

What are those screwdrivers called where you can twist the opposite direction (but it doesn't unscrew the screw)?

Anybody seen a deal for a set of those with long lengths?

    • +2

sounds like some kind of ratcheting screwdriver?

    • +1

      Ratchet/Socket Wrench

      • Cheers guys.

Anybody know of any good quality electric screwdriver (preferably with magnetic tip) with a dremel attachment too with the current ebay promotions too?

        • +2

You won't find an electric screwdriver with dremel attachment.

A dremel spins very fast. An electric screwdriver spins much slower and higher torque.

You should grab a cordless drill with adjustable speed if you REALLY want to do both tasks with one tool.

        • @BensonP:

Thanks Benson. Any recommendations for a handheld dremel If I'm dremelling out some plastic with to make a hole a couple of centimeters in diameter?

        • +1

          @LaProblematique:

All depends on your price range. This one looks pretty good.

The Dremel branded hobby tools are a bit more expensive. It comes down to how many holes you need to make.

Bunnings have this one as well.

        • @LaProblematique: I'd say get the Ozito one that @BensonP recommended, I have a cordless 'dremel' from them and a cordless screwdriver that sits in a USB powered charging station, and both do the job fine. Plus they have a good warranty so of they burn out you can just get another one.

        • @LaProblematique: although if you just W a nt to make a hole in plastic why not use a drill and small wood bit or hole saw and avoid having to buy a Dremel at all?

    • +7

Ask at Bunnings for a left-handed screwdriver.

Are they kept between the tartan paint and the spirit level bubbles?

        • +2

That's correct. The same aisle you'll find a long weight.

Don't for get to pick up a can of K9P while you are there.

Take a bucket to your local park and you might be lucky to collect some.

57 pieces and no cable ties .. great deal

    • It's awkward when you actually need a cable tie, and you've been avoiding the deals that throw them in…

  • +6

Thanks OP. FYI for all of Australia - I pulled the trigger on these. YOU MAY NOW RETURN BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE PREVIOUSLY DOING.

    • +1

      I feel so unworthy.

      • +1

no no, I saw your tartan paint comment before and feel you also qualify :)

        • +1

          Thanks boss.

  • Try to buy one, but it said the seller don't have any left? Anyone?

  • No Stock :(

  • +4

Far out, I already have so many of these, but I'm tempted yet again to get another set "just incase"

    Must be a man thing.

Now you know how the ladies feel about shoes.

    • If i were one of the few people that paid $367.98 for that tool kit a few days ago id be crying right now

    • +1

I wish those sockets were 6 point instead of 12 point. Would have picked one up then…

      • Thats an odd request lol

        • 6 points usually stronger and less likely to round bolts/nuts

I have that Stanley set from the last time it was posted here (or time before perhaps). Cannot recommend it enough. Case is brilliant, and tools are to notch. Was one of the OZB deals where I would otherwise have not got a tool set like that. SO FREAKIN GLAD I did. :)

  • Just got one thanks. I must return the one I got as a present from Bunnings last weekend.

  • +2

Gave up with Supercheap Auto ebay site (shows in stock but later got error message; not enough stock) and bought through Supercheap Auto website. Not worth to drive to the other stores just to save $4.

    Thanks OP for the finding!

  • No stock when I try to buy one "The seller doesn't have that many left."

  • Does this come with a case as well?

    • just like the pic. no case but a holder

  • +1

    Are these magnetic tipped?

  • No stock around my location for eBay or SCA site.

  • already have the bunnings one but bought anyway cos need really short phillips and flat heads -_-

  • No combined postage and no stores near me for click and collect.

  • BARGAIN

  • Expired I think

  • No more stock available

  • Just successfully ordered click and collect from local store so unless they cancel the order tomorrow the deal is still active

  • There is stock available but not for $16 because the discount codes have expired.

  • Thanks. Still discounted to $20 without codes..

  • So I check yesterday and there is only 1 store in Perth which has stock and is miles away.
I've just checked again and now it is showing 5 stores in stock, but the code is expired.
