I have had a revelation today. I have always wondered why my Xiaomi powerbank charged my phone (LG G3) so fast, but all my USB wall adapters (various brands, genuine) charged the phone so slow. I have compared voltage and amperage on various chargers, and it didn't seem to be the answer.
After months, I finally realised today isn't not the powerbank/wall adapter, its the USB CABLE! I have been using a cheap, generic USB cable from eBay with my wall chargers. For the powerbank, I have been using the included USB cable. With the cheap cables, charging takes about a quarter of the speed as using the good quality USB cable that came with my powerbank. I have been ignorant and thought that any micro usb cable is as good as another.
In spite of this, I can't justify spending $22 on a brand name USB cable at a retailer. Does anyone know of the following:
-Online sellers selling genuine brand name cables at good prices,
or
-Any generic cables from China, which you've used and can say from experience aren't junk.
TIA
I am thinking of maybe giving one or two these a go. Thoughts?
