You'll be fine with this if your only watching TV and Netflix, it's a great tv.
I did read somewhere that Samsung make the 55" and 65" panels, the 60" are made by Sharp and aren't as good as Samsung's panels.
Source?
Whirlpool : Samsung 2016 HDTV thread
I wouldn't trust the arrogant pricks on the Whirlpool forums though
Oh thanks a lot. I just got the JVC 48' and now I have to upgrade again. Bloody first world problems
Had this TV for few weeks now. No issues, quick to boot and to toggle menus etc.. the only thing is that it is a bit thicker than my old 4 year old Samsung 55".
Did your old one fail or is this just an upgrade?
I can access JB Hifi Digital Gift Cards - for 'friends' or family for JBHIFI @ 7.5% discount (although there is a 1% credit card fee).
It means I someone could buy this for $1400 of gift cards (including the transaction fee) for
Subtotal - $1400 vouchers: $1,295.00
Credit Card Fee $12.95
TOTAL: $1,307.95
I know it would involve a fair amount of trust, but if anyone is interested in gift vouchers, I could hook you up.
EDIT: this is an employee benefit I have through the company I work for - nothing dodgy. We are allowed to buy for friends and family.
Lumo Rewards have 7.5% off JB gift cards, Blatchys Blues 7% off which a lot of OzBargainers have from previous deals on here. There should be a few others offering it as well, unfortunately Ent Book is only 5% now, that used to be 7%.
No hdr10
Dolby Vision is a no show on the Samsung as well. cough OLED ;-)
So this tv is not a 10bit panel for HDR?
Does it have to say SUHD to support HDR?
Been looking at this TV seems a good price, unsure if i want a 60 or 65 inch. mixed reviews would be keen to hear from someone that has ones.
Only used for watching commercial tv and netflix.
