Epson WorkForce DS-520 Document Scanner / $100 / Clearance / Officeworks

200

It might not suit everyone, but if you need a proper document scanner, i think the price is very good.

$549 on Epson website (http://www.epson.com.au/products/scanner/WorkForceDS-520.asp…)

I saw it and bought it in Wetherill Park NSW store, for some reasons this product is not on their website.

    • I suspect one in NSW given the member location, because it's not on the website.

      • Just saw that edit, thanks!

      • did you get the last one or was there more left?

  • Very good price. I remember buying a cheapie Jenkin's one and it was in the $100-ish range.

  • can anyone tell me the difference between getting this and one of the like $30 epson b/w ink multi function printers that are always on clearance?

    • scans both sides at the same time and in only 2 sec per page / 50 page sheet feeder

      • ohh that makes sense then. Cheers for clearing that up

    • The scanner on your $30 Epson MFP is like a toy in comparison.

  • Its great for getting ur full stack multilevel filing cabinet papers into digital pdf form quickly. Had over 50k of pages scanned and nicely organized.

Make sure u opt in for the extra $15 for total 3yrs warranty. Had an issue after 2yrs and got my money back.

Extra warranty sounds good, is it through Officeworks or Epson?

      • Thru officeworks.

Just picked up the last two at Kew (VIC) for $49 each. Been looking at getting one for years, very happy :)

    • Must be a bargain of the year.

  • Anyone seen one in WA?
I was in the Mandurah store and there were none.

    • Called up around WA. No one seems to have any anywhere.

    • Are you still looking for one? I managed to purchase a couple from Osborne Park.

Might have to individually visit stores. As they told me over the phone they had none.

  • Brisbane folks - 3 in stock at Windsor and 3 at Garden City (so the computer says) - call first to reserve. None at Milton.

    • I couldn't find it at Windsor and called when I saw your post - both Windsor and Garden City said no stock.

      • Did you check any other Brissie stores? I need one of these to clear my filing cabinet.

  • I went into Milton, as per jeffr they have no stock of the ds-520. Might try the city in the morning, but might be out of luck.

  • Good morning,

FYI - there are 2 new plus 1 display at Okfficeworks Chadstone store.

Scans in at $100 at checkout register, no ticket price on shelf.

    Cheers

I'm just grabbing one now at Caroline springs/ravenhall. There's one left in a box.

    • Thank you very much, grab the last one there!

  • Register online to get extra 3 months warranty. Easy to set up - fast too.

  • Great deal, thanks. I bought the last one at Prospect SA. None at Ctoydon, Keswick or Marion.

  • None at Geelong, Waurn Ponds or Werribee in VIC. Listed internally as 1x in stock at Altona North, but none there (I got the OW guy to ring them up). If I remember his screen properly, there was 3x in stock at Chirnside Park, 1x at Russell St.

But more importantly, there was the DS-520's wireless brother, the DS-560 on the clearance shelf for $150, down from $499. Tried to negotiate it down to $100, but it scanned at $100, so I grabbed it!

    • Thanks for the advice, picked up a DS-560 the other day at Officeworks Glebe in Sydney.

There's one more DS-560 and 2 more DS-520 instore. Both are scanning at $100

      • I just got the last DS-560 from Glebe. One DS-520 left. Leichhardt was out of stock when I called.

  • It appears that the clearance price is still available. just grabbed one from Joondalup WA today, the DS520 for $70+$14 (3 year warranty).
