I've been keeping an eye on all of the iron deals for the last couple of months and really wanted a steam generator as an upgrade. However, many of the steam generator irons get bad reviews because of their cost and durability (particularly the Tefal ones). This Philips one has amazing reviews on Amazon (see below link) and is 72% off for today only with the 10% discount.
Yeah, I've never seen so many Vine reviews for a single product. Literally every single review is of a free unit.

I don't really know how, but I've used this machine before and makes my current iron seem like a piece of shit. Just gets the wrinkles out effortlessly. And it's easier to control because the iron itself is very light.
I think it may be due to the amount of steam and the pressure at which it comes out. Also need to factor in that you can iron for like 2 hours without needing to refill the water (if you like ironing that much).
The water tank doesn't run down as quick meaning if your lazy you don't get dry iron as often. At least I think that's what that huge tank must be for.
The quickest way to using a standard iron is using steam to remove the creases. Steam irons produce a constant and larger volume of steam. I have had a steam iron for approx 12 months and would not want to go back to a regular iron. Particular love it for my business wear

EDIT: it's a glitch with Chrome! Firefox works fine for me.

purchased one of these a few months back and it is a solid unit
HN (Rutherford NSW) was doing something similar. I picked up the next model up GC8642 for $238.50 from HN after 10% off (better than price matched prices). With the Philips $100 cashback this reduces the $449rrp to $138.50 final price. Not sure if/how much better the GC8642 is than the GC7035 (which wasn't in stock) but that narrows the price difference.
Have a tefal brand one I use often. Great for shirts and steam function for suits.

I've got an older model of one these bought in a similar sale and I love it - it flattens everything to within an inch of it's life and generates terrifying amounts of steam. Great too if anyone in the family sews.
