    Two different brands.

    Also certain scenarios are better suited to a portable and others to a desktop drive. Personally I hate the portable drives, they are the only ones to ever die on me. Not to mention the brand difference.

  I remember when these were $90 at Officeworks. Now that was a bargain. Purchased 2 from that deal and they are still working with no problems at all.
