Anolon Advanced 20cm & 26cm Fry Pan Twin Pack - $59.70 @ Myer (down from $199)

360

Found this scanned for much less than the advertised 50% off - looks like online has the correct price.

Interestingly the 30cm scanned only 40% off $199 despite being 50% off online

Was about to buy this online after being recommended on SeriousEats

  • Induction Compatible?

    • No, but is oven safe. The Anolon somethingelse was also on special which is induction compatible but not oven safe.

      • Anolon Endurance, Also, Oven safe to 200°C

        • Hmm I didn't see any mention of that on the box in-store but that might be another good option if it's similar discount.

        • It was Authority not Endurance that was in store. Had a slightly higher sticker price than Advanced, not sure why. But it was for all hobs including induction.

None available for Click & Collect, so delivery is the only option for $9.95

  • Where they made?

    • Likely in a Chinese factory.

      • It is Hong Kong company, anyway.

  • Great deal! Thanks!

  • Just another brand that Meyer Corp. uses. Overall quality isn't much better than your usual Teflon frypans.

    • I agree.. Circulon, Anolon and few others are basically the same brand, they all start to stick after 12-18 months of normal house hold use.

I found Scanpan coating lasts longer

      • Just remember none of these brands actually make the coating. In this case it's duPont something version 2, not sure what specific Scanpan models use (it isn't always the same either)

  • very mixed reviews on this brand, some say after a few months they get warping

    • I'm going on SeriousEat's recommendation for this specific model. Am also going to be strict this time! Going to care for it, not over heat it, never use metal, and clean it gently :p I only need non-stick pans for specific dishes - otherwise I prefer to use my cast-iron or stainless steel.

  • How is this compared to ALDI brands?

  • Bought quite a few of these before from Myer. They were either warped when I bought them or became warped. The teflon didn't last too long either. Running a few Jamie Tefals currently which have been excellent.
