        probably talking about 3gb model. Personally I'd go the 8gb 480 for around $330 with amex at HN and possibly comes with a free game.

    Not that I want to tell you how to spend your money, but this suggests you won't notice much of a difference upgrading from a 7970 - to either card: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

    Of course the newer cards use less power and are quieter…

      That hierarchy isn't even based off benchmarks and is completely inaccurate. If you want to compare cards, use benchmarks.
