      I wouldn't recommend doing this with a blender - instead you can get a coffee grinder for cheap and grind the nuts there

          true - depends how fine you want the nuts though. That is why a coffee grinder will be a better option

          Agreed. A blender will chop them coarsely, all different sizes. A coffee grinder or mini food processor will do a much better job.

      use a mini chopper, it does the best job for nuts. Blenders cant grind nuts cause the motor is too strong and it will only launch them up, and grinders are good for oats but not nuts. The motor in the grinder is weak, and nuts have oils they become like play dough and will stuff up the grinder. get a mini chopper :)

      Yes, i just got the same offer through online chat. Not sure whether to go ahead with it or not…Planning to get an action camera for cycling.
      There are cheaper options out there, like GoPro HERO+ LCD currently $248, with AMEX it will be about $166 in the end. Also i have heard some good things about Xiaomi's 4k action camera, but haven't got time to compare yet.
      Any expert advice?

    Not bad specials.. very cheap for that Braun stick blender, even cheaper than the 5 I bought a few months ago!

    I have $100 credit, might wait until boxing day to spend it. Don't really need anything or want to spend much more, but im sure I'll find something.

      Choice magazine has lots of thorough reviews of fridges - worth even a temporary subscription to check them out. Local libraries also often subscribe.

        I bought it at the Good Guys. But used the $25 store credit, so i ended up paying only $4 for the $29 blender. Not sure whether i can price match if using the store credit.

          YES you can price match if you use store credit. BUT ypu cant price match Good Guys themselves. so your out of luck unfortunately.

          @nubzy: Some stores, of course, subject to how nice the manager is, they price match themselves. I worked in 2 good guy stores that did but of course, not everyone will get the same result.

          Some stores also allow boxing day prices as a price match on themselves as a one off.

    If anyone is thinking of the GoPro Hero+LCD - one of the cons is that the battery is not removable but there is a get-around:
    An extender battery which attaches to the back of the GoPro HERO+ LCD camera battery, to extend battery life (gives 3-5 hours in addition to fixed battery).
    - the Wasabi Power Extended Battery for GoPro HERO+ LCD - with Waterproof Backdoor and USB. Around $55 on gumtree and Amazon.com
    (Reviews on youtube and https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01AB0KL0C/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_b…)
    Make sure extended battery is for the Hero+(plus).
