Sony PlayStation VR Move Motion Controllers (X2) for PS4 $119 at JB Hi-Fi in Store only

60

Just got myself a PS4 Move controller twin pack from JB Hi-fi Artarmon

Much better then the crazy $199 price for used ones on Ebay

Ebgames and Sony.com.au have the ETA - 27th of Feb 2017 for the next stock shipment so if you don't want to wait that long give your local JB-hifi a call. :) The guy at the counter said they got them in recently.

They had around 10 left in stock. NO PS VR units though.

  • Pretty sure they've always been that price. That's how I much I grabbed them for when I bought my PSVR at launch.

    This is the RRP..

Yep.. RRP for an item thats SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE and no new stock until the END OF February ! at the end of the day some people are paying the $199 Ebay price for used ones..

Not a bargain at all really. Saw themself at JB Pitt St or Galleries (can't remember which) yesterday.

    • JB for some reason have stock.. not sure why Ebgames and all the other stores have nothing until the 27th of Feb

  • Lame

  • That's a pretty high RRP given that it's the same controllers from several years ago.
Too bad the old controller isn't on clearance anymore AFAIK.

Time to look for the 2 new BNIB I bought for $5 each and put on Gumtree for $50 each.

    • BNIB?

        Brand new in box

  • What the hell? Damn, I'm lucky I stocked up on them when they were <$15 and starter pack was <$30 during PS3 days.

    • So, they are the same?

      • pretty much.. the new ones do say PS4 on the outside box but the product itself is the same as the PS3 one.. the battery in the PS4 maybe "newer in some way" but apart from that everything is the same

        • Thanks. Good to know.

  • Seems expensive. Arent these the same as the PS3 ones that go for $10?

    • i was wondering that too. are they just the old move controllers?

    • They go for $99 each (used) and yes they are the same PS3 controllers just re-branded PS4

  • These are updated from mini USB-B to micro USB. But the old ones still work.

Bought two used ones in Japan for $25. But they would all be gone by now.

    • I've been told the new Move Controllers still use Mini-USB?

      • yep.. the new PS4 move controller is the same in every way as the old PS3 one. Just made in 2016 rather then 2010 :) mini-USB and not micro-USB that the dual shock controller uses

        • OK, I've based it from memory of reading old articles before they were released saying it was Micro usb. Gaming journalists are pretty crap these days.

  • So can I sell my old ps3 move controllers for $$$? I think I have 4

    • YEP.. there are people who dont know about jb-hi-fi having some stock.. and the limited stock they do have wont last very long.. :)

you are sitting on $400 worth of controllers..

That's why this deal is so good!

Wow, time to dig them out then. Ebay here I come

        • I've 4 as well from ps3 days. Time to cash in……

  • EB sold all the used ones they had for $15 each a couple of months ago. Should have stocked up. VR makes me sick sadly and you have to keep your glasses on under the visor. Not the most comfortable way to game.

    • The best approach is to replace your eyeballs with a VR ready one ?

      • Working on it now. Ask me in a few years when this stuff will be wireless, comfortable, high res, high framerate etc etc. Still a good V1 product from Sony and kudos for getting it to retail.

        • 120hz 90-120FPS .. not bad at the moment :)
