      Putting it up here so people can find it easily.
      I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 6
      Here are the steps I did to get it working
      - download 7-eleven fuel app
      - sign in account
      - downloaded http://fakegps-free.en.uptodown.com/android
      - enabled mock location in developer options
      - set location to Watanobbi
      - open fuel app
      - selected fuel I use
      - click find best price
      - gave me mock location error
      - closed fuel app
      - closed fake gps app
      - open fuel app
      - click find best price
      - gave mock location error
      - close fuel app
      - open fuel app
      - click find best price and it worked
      I was able to purchase fuel at 108.7c and have a voucher to scan when I fill up.

      Hope this helps

        Looks like cheapest is Wyong at 110.7

        • +9

          I'm not comfortable with this deal. Seems more like fraud/stealing.

          • @Grandslam: I know what you mean, however, isn't the bigger scam when a company who purchases fuel at a national price decides sells it for 47c/ltr more in some areas? For no other reason other than "they feel like it". Are you telling me that the value of the fuel sitting in those tanks just suddenly jumped by that much? Or are they price gouging?

            While fuel companies resort to dirty tacticks like price surges like this I don't feel so bad seeing people play them a little.

          @k23man:

          Why? Petrol is 10c more only about 20km away from Wyong, so its 7/11 doing the fraud.

        • +1

          @k23man:

          Agreed, Its pretty clearly that its obtaining benefit by deception.

        • @ashpool:
          Don't you want to go on a roadtrip to Wattanobbi with us?

        • @k23man:
          Take it you've not heard how little they pay their staff in that case.

      • Are we all gonna pretend we didn't read, 'will need a [sic] android device'. There are poor iPhone users too.

          Unless if you're jailbroken, there's a tweak called LocationFaker

      • Hijacking to share my experience.

        Have been following your instructions a million times on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 but it never worked.

        Tried a spare OnePlus One and have got it working by roughly following your instructions.

        Something other people kept mentioning which I couldn't get was talking about "choosing FakeGPS Free" as your mock locations app. This option doesn't exist on Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. Mock locations is either on or off.

        You basically have to keep force closing 7-Eleven fuel app until the mock locations error doesn't appear anymore, which from my experience takes about 3-5 times. You do not turn need to mock locations off.

        • No, you don't have too.
          I use a Xiaomi Phone as well.
          If your location does not update,
          1) get out of the APP
          2) Turn on Airplane mode
          3) Turn off Airplane mode
          4) get back into APP

        • @bsmksg: Ohh airplane mode..! Hmmm.. I'll try that later. Thanks.

    Its been 115 at 7/11's around newcastle for ages now

    • +5

      sure beats paying $1.38 in brisbane atm, absolute joke. Managed to fill up yesterday for $1.05

  • +7

    hmm goes against the fuel lock T&Cs, no?

    • no different to creating multiple accounts for other deals, done it over 30 times no dramas

        • +25

          Sorry Australia isn't a country where we prosecute thoughts (yet) but nice try.

          Therefore to protect yourself and the site against possible legal liability I suggest you to remove the post.

          1) You aren't a mod.
          2) Mods will remove if requested by the concerned company or if it's five finger discounts.. i.e. stealing.

          Nice try 7-11

        • -1

          You gonna tell 7 11 to pay their employees at the right rates?

        • @Hotkolbas:
          I believe they've aldy paid their penalty and compensation on that. Do you wanna pay 7-11 for damages too?

        • -2

          @truetypezk: bebow. That is incorrect. Care for another try to see if you win a combo washer and dryer or you can find out whats in the mystery box?

          So whats it gonna be?

      • You understand that creating multiple accounts is against the terms and conditions right?

        • Not on the 7-11 fuel app.

      • +2

        i did use the amex deal to buy a qantas gift card to access the amex statement credit, it goes against the T&Cs but i didn't blink in that case. not sure why i feel uneasy with this deal though…?

        • +1

          Because this require more steps to setup than Amex/Qantas Giftcard trick?

        • +15

          I feel uneasy with this too. 7elevens are generally operated by independents and do not have the firepower against the major fuel outlets (they do not even have the firepower against their own 7eleven headquarters).
          Its common knowledge the employees are under-paid as it is.

          While I do not support 7eleven business model, I'd rather leave them alone and not cause them even trouble. After all, the ones that suffer are those poor student workers.

        • +8

          Good question. Since it's a 'hack' it seems more dishonest than creating multiple accounts. With multiple accounts, presumably you're still giving honest details, whereas with a GPS hack, you're lying about your location and getting prices you aren't entitled to.

          But then I have no moral objection to using a VPN to get US pricing on software. This isn't all that different. My reasoning is, I think price discrimination is itself immoral. You're paying more for the exact same product just because you live somewhere else. But what about fuel? This thing has happened for a long time (prices differing by service station) and we've all just come to accept it as normal. Price discrimination in digital software has only been brought to people's attention the last few years so it's less acceptable.

          It's morally grey. Can't say it's either wrong or right. It's up to you to decide that for yourself. I'm not going to do it. I also don't want to risk them examining it closely and getting caught in my dishonesty.

        • @lostn: Multiple accounts = multiple (introductory) donuts = yummy~~

    • +9

      Exactly.

      REQUIREMENTS FOR USING THE 7-ELEVEN FUEL APP
      To use the 7-Eleven Fuel App:

      you must have a compatible smartphone or tablet device (Device - you can find out which Devices are compatible at www.7eleven.com.au );

      you must download the 7-Eleven Fuel App from the appropriate application store and keep the App updated to the most current version;

      you must have a current telecommunications provider that allows the Device to access the Internet;

      your Device permissions must allow the App to determine the Device location by accessing the global positioning system function;

      your Device will not be valid and may be blocked for creation of a Fuel Price Lock if mock locations are enabled in developer options/settings or the Device location has been falsified by manipulating the global positioning system function;

    7-11 app does not let you lock with mock location turned on. Anyone else had same issue ?

    • Yes. Same issue.

    • I have the same prob. Can anyone help?

      • XPrivacy or similar should work.

        edit: Must root your phone first. Benefits far outweigh the initial time investment

      Xcode can fake your location via a Mac

      Tried 100 times and it did not work on my old LG G3

    • don't think you can

      this works but only if you use the high accuracy option in GPS location settings i.e. GPS+wifi+mobile network (rather than GPS only as suggested by FakeGPS app). well… that's what my friend said….

  • +11

    Current cheapest price for E10 is 108.7 in Watanobbi (North Wyong). Set your latitude & longitude to -33.274360,151.429255. They also have the best prices for U91 (110.7), P95 (121.7) and P98 (126.7).

    Premium Diesel is 116.9 at Randwick and Bankstwon.

    LPG is 54.9 at Petersham.

    Bear in mind that the price cycle may bring any of these values higher or lower.

  • Cheaper at Midvale WA 7-Eleven at 111.9 a litre.

    Thanks OP.

  • No need to root anything, it works i just had to try it a few times. Hit and go, for me. Hard to explain how, turn on fake gps let the app find the fake location then exit the fake gps and lock in…it was something like that, like i said i tried a whole bunch of time till it locked in. It will say that you are using a mock gps app if it done incorrectly

    • Which fake GPS app?

      • Fake gps location.. play store little yellow emogy with a yellow phone

        • +4

          Does Fake GPS ask you to enable mock locations?

  • Hi OP,

    Not working for Me. Which android phone and version you are using? Can you provide the google play link to exact fake gps app you using.

    I get error "Mock location error : It appears your device has mock locations enabled. Please disable mock locations to proceed."

    But when I disable mock locations it detects my original location.

    I am using samsung galaxy s4 with android version 5.0.1

    • got same issue

      • +1

        thanks it worked but I had to try close open close try again and it worked.
        Note - my Samsung S5 shows - Mock Location App: 7-Eleven Fuel

        • @akstyl13 which android version you have on your galaxy s5. Do you have to press "find my best local price". And when you locked successfully was the mocked locations checked or unchecked in developer settings?

        • @pluto: I've got Android 6.0.1
          Mocked Locations is checked and for some reason it displays " App: 7-Eleven Fuel" instead of the FakeGPS Free (even when I re-select it)

          Not sure what I did to make it work honestly, I kept switching on/off locations services + killing/restarting apps

    Which Android version you guys running? I don't think this is possible above Android Marshmallow 6.0+ because you need to turn on mock locations in developer settings. otherwise you need xposed modules
