    I don't see the deal.

Available from other OS sellers (ebay) for the same price.

If anyone is looking for a smart charger, Aldi have one available on the 17th Dec -
NiMH & NiCd Smart Battery Charger $19.99 @ALDI

  • The AAA Pros are made in Japan?

  • -1

No deal, plus just buy from Ikea

    • I've never seen Eneloops in Ikea & it's too far away for me.

      • -2

You think Amazon is closer ??

        • +7

Yes, they're closer. Why? They accept online order and deliver to my house via iparcel/eparcel. Ikea doesn't accept online order. I have to visit the store and cost me $15 petrol just to go there.

What a dumb site they have here. Save to list and print. Where is add to cart and checkout?

          http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/90303880/

        • +1

Yes they are closer as Ikea won't deliver to me in Sydney.

          @PW:
Fair point re: ease of purchase.
Yes, their site (ikea)has never been friendly.

But there are other online sites besides Amazon offering the same price for these batteries. So no idea why this is marked up as a deal. It's always available at this price.

Agreed. I bought a 4pk of Ikea AA this week for just over $10 for the 2450mAh ones.

    • +2

Are the Ikea batteries like these http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/70303876/ the same technology as the Eneloops?

      • +2

I've seen it suggested they're manufactured in the same factory, but I'm not sure anyone really knows. But yes, the chemistry is supposed to be the same.

  • is it recommended to get the official eneloop charger with this or can i just use any charger ?

    • +1

No, any charger that recharges NiMH batteries will work but a smart charger is preferred as it will automatically detect when the batteries are charged.

  • Very nice, havent seen a good eneloop deal for a while. Nice work

  • Are these any good?

  • Does anyone know where to snag a bargain on normal eneloops? These look good, but for the TV remote, I think it's overkill at this price point!
Been watching for a long time and they don't some up very often. Searched ebay but I'm wary of fakes etc.
    Ideas?

    • Unless it's a remote with a screen like the Logitech Harmony 650 I wouldn't bother with rechargeables as normal batteries last for years.
Or if you really want rechargeables you could get the Aldi LSD's - 4 pack is $5.99.

      • Perfect. I'll grab these next time, can still use my NiMH charger on these puppies too.
        Win win.
(Yep I have a harmony remote with eneloops) The missus gives the tivo a flogging skipping all the aldi ads - rechargeable last about 8 months in that.

        Thanks ;)

  • The Whole set including charger is on special for $32 @ Costco this week

    • That will most likely be a dumb charger, it has no detection mechanism to stop charging when your batteries are fully charged. Overcharging can damage or shorten the life of the batteries.

  • Is there any place I can a good price on a 20 pack of the Eneloop Pro's ? I don't need AAA batteries.

  • +1

I have moved on from eneloops and am using aldi rechargeables.

Cheaper and i can score a pack easily in the weekly shop without a bat of the bosses eyelids.
They are so far pretty good and last a while in the kids play toys and have saved countless dollars avoiding the non rechargeable batteries.

    • +1

Totally agree, they are a no brainer for $5.99 a 4 pack. They seem to be working fine for me after a year, but I'm not a heavy user.

For this price every professional should try a pack and then we could get some consistent feedback.

      • +1

that's it, I'm not a big user myself but for my daughters toys they need a lot of AAA and AA so I'm always buying the throw aways and its starting to cost a bomb.
I went down this root and its so far working well.

I have a pack of eneloops and charger I use that to charge the batteries and works well.

  • I dont see the attraction to the pros. They look tasty, but their specs dont impress me for the long run..

                      STANDARD PRO

Capacity—————- up to 800mAh* ————up to 950mAh*
    Cycles/Recharge——-up to 2100 times*——-up to 500 times**

    Also my formatting is rubbish.

    • Savas will show you the way.

  • Pro's seem to output a lot better in my crapy single led torches
